i love how ponyo's recent release has made more people go out and buy ghibli movies. though i'm not surprised at all. i've come to realize that ghibli movies are almost equivalent to disney movies in america, in terms of popularity/sales.... sort of? hmmm

...and didn't those Dragonball Z movies come out ages ago? That's kind of outta left field...

Those DB movie DVDs are released two weeks ago. It's a trend of today's anime industry making higher resolution DVD of old titles. The original VHS version of this Dragon Ball movie was released in 1997.

I wonder why My Neighbour Totoro is still up there after like 12 years or how ever long it's been now.

The DVD of Tororo was released in 2001. It's been sold 100,000 - 120,000 copies a year and the total number of sales are 857,731 copies. (Compared to that of Spirited Away (2,264,657 copies), this number is still relatively small.)

Kure-nai DVD only sells 1700-1800 copies. This is regarded as a total failure. Be careful when you see a weekly DVD ranking released in the middle of a month. A high rank doesn't mean good sales. The next week ranking is the most important.

Huhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, boring.

And Slam Dunk is number one?
Eww.

I knew it, telling people that the Kure-nai DVDs had naked lolis would make the sales skyrocket.
