'Neko to Ryuu' Reveals Lead Cast, Main Staff, Teaser Promo for Summer 2026

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Amara's Neko to Ryuu (The Cat and the Dragon) light novel revealed the lead cast, main staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promotional video on Tuesday. The anime series will premiere in July 2026.

Voice actors Takehito Koyasu (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV)) is starring as the lead character Nekoryuu.

Amara began writing the fantasy story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September 2013. Takarajimasha began publishing the light novel in April 2016, with illustrations by Mai Okuma. The eighth volume was released on April 12, with the ninth volume scheduled to release on November 26. The series has a cumulative 1.2 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

A manga adaptation by Izumi Sasaki began serializing on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Web in September 2017. The 11th volume went on sale on April 3, with the 12th volume planned for a November 21 release.
