Light Novel 'Neko to Ryuu' Gets TV Anime

Publishing company Takarajimasha opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Amara's Neko to Ryuu (The Cat and the Dragon) light novel on Saturday and revealed an illustration (pictured) by the light novel artist Mai Okuma.

Amara began writing the fantasy story on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in September 2013. Takarajimasha began publishing the light novel in April 2016, with illustrations by Mai Okuma. The sixth volume was released in January 2023. The series has a cumulative 880,000 copies of its volumes in circulation.

A manga adaptation by Izumi Sasaki began serializing on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! Web in September 2017. The tenth volume went on sale in June 2024.

Synopsis
Deep in the forest where ferocious beasts and magical creatures dwell, a cat takes in an orphaned baby dragon as one of her own. (Source: MU)
