'Kono Hon wo Nusumu Mono wa' Unveils New Cast, Trailer
The official website of the Kono Hon wo Nusumu Mono wa (Whoever Steals This Book) movie revealed additional cast and a 60 and 30-second trailer on Thursday. The movie adapting Nowaki Fukamidori's fantasy mystery novel will premiere in Japanese theaters on December 26.
CastJunichirou Kaname: Shigeru Chiba (Maougun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen datta)
Tanbi Che: Ryouta Suzuki (Mob kara Hajimaru Tansaku Eiyuutan)
Natsume Harada: Reina Ueda (Chiyu Mahou no Machigatta Tsukaikata)
Osamu Kikuchida: Tomokazu Seki (Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria)
Shiori Haruta: Rie Takahashi (Dungeon Meshi)
Daiki Fukuoka (Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen) is helming the movie at Kagome Company. Yasuhiro Nakanishi (Yamada-kun to Lv999 no Koi wo Suru) is handling the series composition. Keiko Kurosawa (Kanata no Astra) is designing the characters and Michiru Oshima (Little Witch Academia) is composing the music.
Fukamidori published the novel under the Kadokawa Bunko imprint in October 2020.
Kakeru Sora drew a manga adaptation in Young Ace from December 2021 to March 2023. Kadokawa published the third and final volume in April 2023.
Yen Press licensed the novel and manga in English in August 2023 and published the first novel volume on February 18. The third manga volume went on sale in October 2024.
