'Tensui no Sakuna-hime' Reveals Production Staff, Theme Songs, Promo, Summer 2024 Premiere

The official website for the Tensui no Sakuna-hime (Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin) television anime revealed the production staff, theme songs, and promotional video on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 6 at 11:00 p.m. on TV Tokyo.

Pop rock duo Ikimonogakari (Naruto: Shippuuden, Nanatsu no Taizai) is performing the opening theme "Hare!" and Little Glee Monster (Boku no Hero Academia 2nd Season, Vanitas no Karte Part 2) performs the ending theme "ORIGAMI." Both theme songs are previewed in the promotional video below.

The anime adapts Edelweiss' side-scrolling action role-playing game, which was released in November 2020 on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC by Xseed Games in North America and Marvelous elsewhere.

I must admit I am hoping they sideline the overall action fantasy plot and focus more on the farm life. The studio should play to it's strengths but from what the trailer shows for now it is looking good so far.

@RobertBobert I feel so. It has some cliches for sure, but I do feel it has a lot of potential if they adapt it properly.

@RobertBobert The plot is a mix between fantasy slice of life and action adventure. It is about 50/50 on both sides though the farming takes a bit longer in the game since well farming lol. The show will 100% be its own niche, but from the trailer as I said before looks nice. It will mostly be pretty chill but have some heavier moments for sure.

@Calal-Chan And how deep is the plot in the game? Or is this just a fantasy slice of life? But one way or another, if this is PA Works, then it is clearly not something superficial.
