'Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnouji' Unveils Production Staff, Main Cast, Teaser Promo for Spring 2024
TOHO animation opened an official website for the Touken Ranbu Kai: Kyoden Moyuru Honnouji television anime on Saturday, unveiling the production staff, returning cast, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2024.Cast

The anime is based on the first stage play of the series written and directed by Suemitsu, which ran in Tokyo and Osaka in 2016.
Based on Nitroplus and DMM Games' online card collectible game, Doga Kobo produced two Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru anime seasons in Fall 2016 and Winter 2018, each running for 12 episodes. Crunchyroll simulcast both seasons with subtitles, while Funimation streamed an English dub.
The game was also adapted into the 13-episode Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu television anime by ufotable in Summer 2017. Aniplex of America licensed the anime and streamed it on Crunchyroll, Amazon's Prime Video platform, and Hulu. An anime movie is currently in production.
