'Sokushi Cheat ga Saikyou sugite, Isekai no Yatsura ga Marude Aite ni Naranai n desu ga.' Reveals Additional Cast, Opening Theme

The official website of the Sokushi Cheat ga Saikyou sugite, Isekai no Yatsura ga Marude Aite ni Naranai n desu ga. (My Instant Death Ability Is So Overpowered, No One in This Other World Stands a Chance Against Me!) television anime revealed additional cast, a key visual (pictured) and the opening theme song on Thursday. The anime is set to premiere on January 5 at 00:45 a.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11, followed by MBS, Tochigi TV and AT-X.

Rick: Mark Ishii (Haikyuu!! Second Season)
Lynel: Shou Nogami (Fuufu Ijou, Koibito Miman.)
Theodisia: Akira Sekine (Kami no Tou)

Hip-hop group Hilcrhyme (Peter Grill to Kenja no Jikan) will perform the opening theme "Killer Bars."

Masakazu Hishida (Hanyou no Yashahime: Sengoku Otogizoushi - Ni no Shou) is helming the anime at Okuruto Noboru. Hishida is also handling the series composition and script. Sayuri Sakimoto (Orient chief animation director) is designing the characters.

Fujitaka began penning the fantasy adventure novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2016. Earth Star Entertainment acquired the novel and published the first volume under their Earth Star Novel imprint in October 2016, featuring illustrations by Chisato Naruse. The 14th and final volume was shipped on March 15.

Hanamaru Nanto began drawing a manga adaptation in Comic Earth☆Star in March 2018. The ninth volume was released on August 10.

J-Novel Club licensed the light novel and manga digitally in July 2020 and 2021, respectively. The 13th light novel volume went on sale on February 20, and the seventh manga volume was released on February 24.

@EcchiGodMamster Because this isn't an LN about swordsmen and mages, it's closer to your typical espers work. I would advise you not to overuse the names of tropes, just saying "oh, it's fantasy" or "oh, he's a swordsman" doesn't indicate any pros or cons, just the pure fact that the setting is fantasy and the hero fights with a sword. You can come up with an endless number of original fantasy-set stories or swordsman characters, tropes are just tools rather than full-fledged parts of the plot or lore.

I'll give this props for having a promo image that looks like a 2000s VN adaptation and not your typical swordsman with his two or more armored knight or mage female groupies
