Sokushi Cheat ga Saikyou sugite, Isekai no Yatsura ga Marude Aite ni Naranai n desu ga.

During a school trip, a bus full of students is suddenly transported to another world by a sage named Sion. She bestows most of the students with powers called Gifts, seeking to recruit them to become sages as well. However, a few are excluded from receiving a Gift, resulting in the others leaving them behind.

Yogiri Takatou, one of the students who did not receive a Gift, wakes up to find a dragon attacking the bus. Amidst the chaos, he executes the dragon using his innate ability to instantly put anything to death. Alongside fellow survivor Tomochika Dannoura, Takatou sets out to find a way back to Earth, all while eliminating anyone who dares to underestimate him—including his former classmates.

A very great show about a guy who got an "instant death" skill (along with a couple of other skills, actually).

Design is really good (I loved the strokes, skin tone, blush/fear effects, etc.), humor is omnipresent (even among some villains), characters are interesting... It is "a bit" like Psychi K. (how OP yet casual the MC is), except it does not happen in our world and therefore revolves less around typical "realistic" issues, but rather gaming-like content (a main quest, with fighting, enemies, villains, etc.).

I am so sad that there is not a second season yet! I reaaaally enjoyed this show!

This is painful that MAL ... is demanding that we add more and more content to our reviews. What I wrote is clearly enough, I am not writing an article nor a book about the show. Just giving my casual feedback! I already talked about the design, the characters, the story... What more do you need?

Mixed Feelings

This show is probably best enjoyed by people who have already watched a lot of other isekai and know the tropes.

The plot isn't particularly compelling, but the subtle parodies are. I found myself really appreciating that I didn't have to watch long, drawn-out fight scenes where I knew the protagonist would win at the end anyway. Seeing one uniquely-designed non-generic character after the next, that would easily be a main or primary support character design in any other show, appearing for a very short period of time then and getting killed instantly was drop-dead hilarious in a sly, clever way. One villain after the next ... giving their scary intro monologue and then just getting hit by the off switch, I really feel like this saved a lot of screen time for other things.

The negative on this show would be that they introduced so many plot elements that aren't resolved or explained in any real way, and the isekai world they're in doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. This needs a second season that doesn't look like it's going to happen, in order to resolve most of the opened plot points.

For isekai fans, if you keep your expectations low and realize it's basically making fun of you, the audience, you can enjoy this. Without that background, it's not going to make much sense at all.

The power dynamics are messed up. The invincible protagonist is not alien in itself, but here there is no build-up. The villains come and go, and there is no difference in power among them because they are simply eliminated without whatsoever reason, making us feel the protagonist achieved nothing.

Moreover, he is not endearing; apart from his skill, there is no attribute he has other than being lazy and nonchalant. The world is fine, but what's the point if it collapses head over heels without the viewer ever knowing what's happening? Only the objective is slightly clear, and other than that, it's just haywire. Though credit ... where it is due the show can be a little funny at times and the sheer effort and tropes is slightly enjoyable
