New 'Isekai de Cheat Skill wo Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai wo mo Musou Suru' Anime Project in Progress

The Fantasia Bunko Thanksgiving Festival 2023 event announced a new anime project for Isekai de Cheat Skill wo Te ni Shita Ore wa, Genjitsu Sekai wo mo Musou Suru: Level Up wa Jinsei wo Kaeta (I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in The Real World, Too) on Saturday. Original illustrator Rein Kuwashima drew an illustration to celebrate the announcement (pictured right).

The first television anime produced by Millepensee aired in 13 episodes in Spring 2023. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with subtitles and later an English dub.

The anime series adapts Miku's isekai fantasy light novel—also known as Iseleve—which they began penning on the Kakuyomu website in March 2017, approximately three years after launching Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei (The Fruit of Evolution: Before I Knew It, My Life Had It Made!). Kadokawa began releasing the series with illustrations by Rein Kuwashima under its Fantasia Bunko imprint in December 2018 and published the 14th volume on June 20. Iseleve has a cumulative 3 million copies of its volumes in print, including digital editions.

Kazuomi Minatogawa (M3: Sono Kuroki Hagane) began drawing a manga adaptation on the Web DenPlay Comic website in December 2019. Kadokawa released the fifth volume on August 25.

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga in English in September 2021 and released the third volume of each on August 22 and April 18, respectively. The fourth light novel and manga volume is planned for a December 12 release.

Gorilla Isekai and Cheat Skill In Another World have the same author~

I heard from other LN readers that Cheat Skill In Another World goes in a different direction after Volume 9 but I have not read it yet. It sold 1m copies in 2023

I knew a few LN readers who are caught up with Smartphone Isekai. The protagonist married 9 girls, making him the isekai protagonist with the second largest harem. Japan is releasing Volume 29 next week by the way.

Seirei Gensouki is the most complicated one because it is one of the numerous LNs that get a trashy adaptation. Well, Reign Of The Seven Spellblades from Summer 2023 is one of the victims of poor adaptation.
Seirei Gensouki LN and anime are 2 completely different fiction. The anime is OP isekai protagonist with huge harem while the LN is very tragic.
As of Seirei Gensouki LN Vol 23,

Among isekai LNs, I will tier Seirei Gensouki above Mushoku Tensei but below Sasaki And Peeps. I heard that Ascendence Of Bookworm is the greatest isekai but I have not read it yet.

@icefirestone23 That's genuinely shocking given how utterly predictable the story beats are down to calling out lines before they're even said. I enjoyed the show personally, but I'd much prefer more of a show like My Isekai Life which at least had likable side-characters and not these Ken doll clones.
