Anime Project of 'Magical★Explorer' Light Novel in Progress

The Sneaker Bunko 35th Anniversary Festa! event announced an anime adaptation of Iris' Magical★Explorer: Eroge no Yuujin-Chara ni Tensei shita kedo, Game Chishiki Tsukatte Jiyuu ni Ikiru (Magical Explorer: Reborn as a Side Character in a Fantasy Dating Sim) light novel on Sunday.

Iris originally began writing the adventure comedy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2018. Kadokawa began publishing the novel through its Sneaker Bunko label in November 2019, featuring illustrations by Noboru Kannatsuki (Goblin Slayer). The eighth volume shipped on April 28, with the ninth volume going on sale on Friday.

Yukari Higa (Zero no Tsukaima Chevalier) began drawing a manga adaptation on the Young Ace UP web magazine in August 2020. Kadokawa published the first volume in March 2021.

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga in English in December 2021. The first manga volume went on sale last July, with the fifth novel volume shipped on July 18. The sixth novel volume is planned for a December 12 release.

Synopsis
Reincarnated as a character in the legendary erotic game, "Magical Explorer," it doesn't take long for our hero to discover that he's been designated the unlucky side-character rather than the game's lady-killer protagonist. Not to worry, though! Armed with his vast knowledge of the game (and a few cheats) he'll do whatever it takes to win the hearts of the game's heroines and emerge as the most accomplished student at the Sorcerer's Academy! @Ivis_Ire Well thank you for the review. I fully know you are biased (I mean, everyone is) because you like this, but if half of those is even 50% true, this will be a good ride.

Anyway, I'm still waiting for a similar story but where the MC is literally nothing special and has no power to influence the main story so he starts building a minor side plot instead.

I know everyone thinks that these kinds of plots are getting old and similar but please think twice afterall the same kinda plot doesn't imply bad story.

•Here, mc is not at all full of cheats, he only has one cheat "like" power which is quite possible for someone to have in story's world.

•He only becomes strong by putting actual hardwork.

•He doesn't try to get all the girls around but also wins over many- this fact is good for both harem lovers and those who gets annoyed from how easily mc is a chick magnet.

•He also has a unique trait which may become apparent from new cover photos, etc.

•Mc has a clear goal, which looks obvious at a glance but I have never seen any other anime mc having the same goal.

I love this novel( haven't read the manga yet). I was waiting for an update for quite a while but seeing it being adapted made me happy. This is all for my short review ( it's also my first). I have tried my best to avoid any spoilers.

I know this one.
Manga is really slow on the update; raw included afaik. Last I checked, there were only 6 chapters?

So far, my fav was the MILF, though her daughter is solid as well.

So, girls are reincarnated as villains in their favorite VNs, and guys are reincarnated as dumb best friends? It's interesting when we get a BL version of this a la "I'm in love with my stupid best friend", considering how much yuri we got about how the MC fell in love with the villainess.
