'Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu' Season 2 Reveals Winter 2024 Premiere, 2 Consecutive Cours

The official website for the Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu (Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy-) television anime revealed the staff, returning cast, a teaser promo, and teaser visual (pictured) for the second season on Thursday. The new season will air in two consecutive cours beginning January 2024.

The main cast, composed of Natsuki Hanae, Ayane Sakura, Akari Kitou, and Kenjirou Tsuda, are reprising their roles from the first season.

Shinji Ishihara (Tensei shitara Ken deshita) is returning to helm the second season at J.C.Staff, replacing animation studio C2C. Other returning staff include scriptwriter Kenta Ihara (Isekai Ojisan), character designer Yukie Suzuki (Fight League: Gear Gadget Generators), and music composer Yasuharu Takanashi (Shuumatsu no Walküre).

Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu, also known as Tsukimichi, adapts Kei Azumi's adventure fantasy novel, which they originally penned on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website from February 2012 to August 2016, and concurrently switched it to AlphaPolis in July 2016. The latter began publishing the series in May 2013 with illustrations by Mitsuaki Matsumoto and released the 18th volume on August 5 last year. Tsukimichi has a cumulative 3 million copies of its volumes in print.

Kotora Kino began drawing a manga adaptation in AlphaPolis Web Manga magazine in June 2015. The 11th volume went on sale last October.

Finally some news about the second season. Even better that it will be a 2 cour. Now I wonder how they will handle all of the Heroes side of the story they skipped in season 1 since it all went in parallel.

I was wondering about the Light Novels, i tried to find em quickly a few seasons ago and couldn't. Huh. Guess i'll have to go for the Web Novels then...

loved the first season and it's coming back with 2 cours?!?! we'll be eating good. hope that the overall animation hasn't been affected by the studio change.
