I like isekai so I'll definitely give this one a try, but damn son that's a loooong title.
I am already numb to long names because I am a huge LN reader.
Have fun with this title.

In the LN side of things, isekai era is over. We are currently in the rise of romcom era with a bunch of 'most beautiful girl in school thirsty for dense guy' trope.
Here is the list of Japan July LN releases (romcoms being majority): https://lightnovel.jp/publicationdate/202307.html

Don't know what to say for this one... Doesn't seem all that interesting frankly

Seems like another power fantasy, 100% a must watch

The large multi part argument in these comments is likely to be more entertaining than this entire show… I’m still gonna watch it though, cliches and all

So then what are the nuances and different themes in most isekai/reincarnation with a short blacked haired male lead going to a medieval fantasy world where he's OP?

List them

If you're not going to list them, then there's literally nothing else I can say and I just won't respond

So what are the nuances and different themes in battle shonen? Are they all about characters who want to protect their nakama by killing demons that eating people? See? The formula exists in every genre and your complaints are universal, just replace the cliches of one genre with the clichés of another.

So, what are the nuances and different themes in an idol show? Are they all about a simple girl who gets her chance as an idol and struggles to build a career even though she doesn't have the same natural talents as her BFF from unit?

So, what are the nuances and different themes in mecha? Is it again about kids who are forced to sit in a fucking mecha because they are forced to defend humanity despite their pacifism?

So, what are the nuances and different themes in the school romcom? Is it again about everydude who meets the unique ideal waifu that pulls him out of his shell?

So, what are the nuances and different themes in yuri? Is it again about a girl who meets the perfect senpai, with whom they become more than friends and keep their fingers intertwined despite the fact that they are both girls?

So what are the nuances and different themes in CGDCT? Is it about shy MC again who finds tsundere, tomboy, kuudere and genki friends to eat cakes with them instead of club activities?

As you can see, if you ignore thematic differences and plot nuances, any genre can be reduced to a number of formulas.

You put the logically incorrect thesis "only fantasy is repetitive and formulaic, because I don't like the formula of the genre"

no i didn't, i never said this

Lol, take literally Kimetsu no Yaiba, Chainsaw Man, Fire Force and Jujutsu Kaisen and convince me that they are fundamentally different shows

i never said they were

(without considering the nuances and different themes).

^^^^ THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT, THIS IS WHAT IM SAYING ISEKAI/REINCARNATION DOESN'T HAVE ^^^^

OMFG

you've been ignoring it this whole fucking time

again... you're just either the worlds biggest troll or..

stupid...
So your denial has gone so far that literally in one post you are ignoring the nuances and different themes in fantasy, but trying to refer to the nuances and different themes in shonen to prove that they don't follow the general formula? It's like losing the pants you're wearing at the moment.

Jun 21, 2023 10:53 AM by RobertBobert

There is something so addictive about banished heroes tbh. I wonder if it's the influence of Shield Hero or something. It's not cool enough to be OP. You gotta be OP + an underdog at the same time lmao.

Gonna check out the manga through.

I didn't answer your "single thing" because you're wrong at the root of the question. You put the logically incorrect thesis "only fantasy is repetitive and formulaic, because I don't like the formula of the genre", and then you try to rationalize it. Which is extremely stupid. And you are so critically unaware of this that you use battle shonen as an antithesis, whose formulaism has literally become a meme in the anime community. Lol, take literally Kimetsu no Yaiba, Chainsaw Man, Fire Force and Jujutsu Kaisen and convince me that they are fundamentally different shows (without considering the nuances and different themes).

I keep getting lulz because you keep defending shonen from me even though I literally told you twice that I'm the main advocate of the genre on this site. People who attacked me in the shonen hate thread just because I called them out for delusional bias against shonen will definitely scream at this irony lol.

wtf does this even mean???

i just... can't...

I think I've found the perfect way to lay out what the hell im trying to argue here and why im always complaining about isekai/reincarnation anime... this is my last attempt:

If someone told you “theres a new shounen battle anime coming out” and that’s the only clue they gave you, BUT they wanted you to guess:

What does the main character looks like? What hairstyle does he have? What color is his hair?

What time period does it take place?

What is the setting?

How did he get where he is?

how strong is he?

Does he have a weapon?

What kind of enemies does he fight against?

Would you be able to do it? How accurate would you be?

NOW

The same person tells you “theres  a new isekai/reincarntaion anime coming out” and wants you to answer the exact same questions

Would you be able to do it? And how accurate would you be?

If THIS of all things i've said doesn’t make you understand what im complaining about, then you’re either the biggest troll I’ve ever run into on here, or just dumb
I can predict you the formula of absolutely any genre. Literally anyone, enough synopsis, setting and characters. The formula is literally the essence of any genre and any setting. I learned a long time ago that you're so boring that you don't understand that a formula is a formula whether it fit with your fetishes it or not, but I still find it funny how stubbornly you refuse to accept it. But that's not the point. I keep getting lulz because you keep defending shonen from me even though I literally told you twice that I'm the main advocate of the genre on this site. People who attacked me in the shonen hate thread just because I called them out for delusional bias against shonen will definitely scream at this irony lol.

Another day, another isekai / isekai adjacent LN getting an anime adaptation that will somehow be more uninspired than its source material.
Worst part is I think I read part of the manga adaptation of this back when I was just starting to get into manga and had disastrously low standards, and even back then I'm pretty sure I dropped it because it didn't even meet those.
This is not an isekai, it's just an ordinary fantasy where the hero is reborn in the same world where he lived.
Thanks for clearing that up, When I saw the "reborn" part I thought it is a Isekai xD

@RobertBobert

You literally said that idol shows can't be considered clichéd and repetitive because there are no isekai tropes

And you are literally wrong, cause that's not even remotely what I said... and this sentence alone proves why I'm wasting my time

You literally accused me of unjustified criticism of shonens, even though I am one of their main advocates on the site.

What the fuck??? No i didnt

You're not paying any fucking attention to or just don't understand what I'm arguing, which is why you ignored the challenge I gave you above

I never once said different anime genres aren't cliche filled and thats probably the issue since you seem to be claiming I said that

Or you're just a hard-core troll

Guh... I'm so prone to being baited, why can't I just ignore you

You literally accused me of unjustified criticism of shonens, even though I am one of their main advocates on the site. You literally call it predictable to follow the laws of the genre, while accusing people of criticizing shonens for it. And then you insult me when I ask you not to whine about every announcement just because it doesn't suit your personal tastes. What else should I say lol?

alright.. im officially done... you either dont even know what the hell im trying to argue, or you're just intentionally ignoring it to fuck with me... which was kinda obvious for awhile... you just keep putting words in my mouth, claiming i said shit that i never have...

judging by your responses i basiclally shouldnt be watching ANYTHING, so its clear you're not even paying attention to what the fuck im saying

stop replying to me, im going to ignore it, its just shitty bait this point and its actually pissing me off now...

fuck off
