The official website for the television anime adaptation of Shin Kouzuki's Dekisokonai to Yobareta Motoeiyuu wa Jikka kara Tsuihou sareta node Sukikatte ni Ikiru Koto ni Shita (The Banished Former Hero Lives as He Pleases) light novel revealed additional cast, staff, the opening theme, a key visual (pictured), and the main promotional video on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in April 2024 on TV Tokyo, BS TV Tokyo, and other stations.

Shouta Aoi, who voices Allen in the series, is performing the opening theme "EVOLVE," which is previewed in the promotional video below.
　
Kazuomi Koga (Kanojo, Okarishimasu) is directing the anime at Studio Deen and Marvy Jack. Rintarou Ikeda (Kimi wa Houkago Insomnia) is handling the series composition and Yoshiki Ookusa (Hakyuu Houshin Engi) is penning the script. Saori Hosoda is also designing the characters.

Kouzuki began penning the adventure fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in January 2018. TO Books acquired the title and published the first volume in October of the same year, featuring illustrations by Chocoan. The sixth volume went on sale last November.

A manga adaptation by Karasumaru began serialization on the Comic Corona manga service in December 2020. TO Books shipped the eighth volume last November.

I don't have some sort of unexplained hate about this type of manga/light novels like so many in the anime community and this not meant to be a review comment but damn the source material is soo damn bad and it makes me sad that so many other light years better fantasy manga and light novels from the same category are still waiting for an anime adaptation.

Nice cast, I like it, nice to see Shin Watanabe as art director. However, the idea of the show is just another cliché about a wimpy guy who makes a fortune by sheer luck. Let's look at the realization.
