'Lupin Zero' Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, Theme Songs, First Trailer

The official website of the Lupin Zero original net anime unveiled additional cast, staff, the first trailer, and a key visual (pictured) on Thursday. The anime is set to premiere on December 16 exclusively on DMM TV.

Tavito Nanao (Devilman: Crybaby) is performing the ending theme "Lupin III Theme Song II," which is previewed in the trailer below. The main theme song is "AFRO"LUPIN'68"."

Daisuke Sakou (Lupin III: Part 5 assistant director) directs action comedy anime at Telecom Animation Film. Ichirou Ookouchi (Koutetsujou no Kabaneri) and Asami Taguchi (Lupin III (2015) sub-character design) are handling the series composition and character design, respectively. Yoshihide Ootomo (Inu-Ou) is composing the music.

The anime is a six-episode prequel to the Lupin III anime series. A world premiere took place at the Anime NYC convention on November 18.

The key visual and trailer are pretty cool. Lupin III's dad, that's a rare appearance, I don't think Lupin II has gotten all that much attention over the years, think that Toshio Furukawa's a really nice pick for the voice actor too. The setting seems interesting so far.
