'Tsurune: Tsunagari no Issha' Reveals Additional Cast, First Promo

The official website of the Tsurune: Tsunagari no Issha (Tsurune: The Linking Shot) television anime revealed additional cast, returning staff, the first promo, and a key visual (pictured) on Friday. The anime series is set to broadcast on January 5 at 12:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by ABC TV, BS11, and AT-X.

J-pop band Luck Life is returning to perform the opening theme "℃," while Tei is performing the ending theme "Hitominaka."

Takuya Yamamura (Tsurune: Kazemai Koukou Kyuudou-bu) is directing the television anime at Kyoto Animation.

The series adapts Kotoko Ayano's school sports novel, which originally began as a submission for the 7th Kyoto Animation Awards under the title Yata no Mori Kyuudoujou and won a Special Judge Award in the novel category in May 2016. Kyoto Animation published the first volume through its KA Esuma Bunko imprint in December that year, featuring illustrations by Chinatsu Morimoto. The third volume went on sale on August 19.

If you're watching this show for shipping, then you might be happy. Future volumes delve considerably into Hibike-ish akogare and shinyuu stuff.
