Haruhi's sales massively drop from season 1 (like 60%) and people act like it's a success? lol? While selling good compared to most anime, it's selling shit compared to Haruhi s1 which avg around 40,000 copies sold per volume with Haruhi 2 atm at 18,469 per vol average.. which will continue to drop..
No. Having 10000 sells on first week is unreasonably big profit, compare to how much effort that kyoto ani gave to their endless recurring episodes.

It's selling well enough to make a sizeable profit. I think Kadokawa/Lantis/Kyoto Animation are happy with this.

Poor Gonzo.

Unfortunately, Gonzo is not the member of the production committee of Saki. (They are in Shangri-La...) so the profit of Saki will be distributed among Square Enix, Pony Canyon, Lantis, Clock Works, TV Tokyo and Sotsu.
... And the debt of Shangri-La will be divided among Kadokawa, Gonzo, Clock Works, NTT, and Sony.
What about other Saki-related projects Gonzo is doing (the video game and other stuff)? I thought they own at least some rights on the franchise.
I thought they dropped almost all their projects. They even stopped printing Saki DVD copies even though there was tons of preorder.
Dun know. Still, Gonzo is practically dead now... ;_;
Gonzo is just the studio which made the animation. The DVD printing and selling are done by Pony Canyon.
Squre Enix: manga and game
Pony Canyon: DVD
Lantis: music CD
Sotsu: marketing and promotion

Who buy's Endless Eight...and that many, lol.
The buyers probably wanna watch Endless Eight endlessly. I like the anime, but repeating eight episodes in a row is damn too much.

But I found some mindless people who actually thinks that endless eight was 'extremely unique and innovative'.
lol no, rude person but considering it's the Haruhi fanbase, I don't necessarily blame you for thinking this. Besides, I guarantee you the mindless ones buying the EE dvds are the ones whining about it.
Let me explain this once and for all.
1. Haruhi has better voice acting and animation than a lot of anime (especially voice acting, where I only like maybe 3 anime better when it comes to voice acting) and using it as an odd game of...er what's it called? "Spot the differences"? Anyway looking for those differences made it fairly fun, especially the many lines that made it seem like even the characters were sick of Endless Eight (not to mention the clever almost mocking ironic statements such as "Summer's almost over, huh?"). But Endless Eight 6 was awful. (EE4 wasn't good either).
2. It has lead to the creation of some of the most hilarious youtube videos ever. It's like an internet meme but it can be referenced more than a couple of times and still be amusing.
3. The whiners whining about it is some of the funniest stuff I have ever seen. You can't make up such pathetic stuff like that, seriously.
4. The ending was also amazing. Seriously the music used when Kyon figured out the "lol homework" thing was like the most heroic, epic finale music ever.
And I'm not saying this even considering I'm a huge Haruhi fan, cause I'm also a huge Conan fan and I can admit there are plenty of bad Conan episodes. Although, it wouldn't be even remotely entertaining (well the whining would still be funny) if it happens again. Which is why people buying it is absurd.

Wow. Just...seriously, Endless Eight? Okay, I understand, "Hey, it's Haruhi...", and sure, I'll buy the H2009 boxset when it comes out...but who would waste their money on a set of eight repetitive episodes? O__o

Wrong.
They take. And everyone else who was involved with the project.
