The official website for loundraw's directorial debut anime short film Summer Ghost revealed additional cast, staff members and a key visual (pictured) on Friday. It was also revealed that the film will be receiving a manga and novel adaptation. The short film is scheduled to premiere in theatres in Japan on November 12.

Nobunaga Shimazaki (Kiznaiver) is playing the role of Ryo Kobayashi. Miyuri Shimabukuro (Carole & Tuesday) is voicing Aoi Harukawa, with Rina Kawaei (Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara) voicing Ayane Sato, also known as the "Summer Ghost." They join previously announced cast member Chiaki Kobayashi (Sonny Boy) who is voicing the film's protagonist, Tomoya Sugisaki.

loundraw is designing the characters and helming the film at Flat Studio. Otsuichi (Hottarake no Shima: Haruka to Mahou no Kagami) is in charge of the script and Akira Kosemura (Juunenbun no Watashi e) is composing the score.

Joining Kosemura is electro-funk composer Hidema Kojima. Vocaloid producer and vocalist Guiano and composer-vocalist Itoko Toma have also joined the film's soundtrack.

The manga adaptation of the film will be drawn by Mikichi Inoue, second place recipient for the 'Space' category of the Tonari no Young Jump 40th Anniversary Competition. It will begin serialization in Tonari no Young Jump magazine on October 8, and a physical volume will be published on November 19. The novel adaptation, written by Otsuichi, will be published on October 29.

If it's a short film, then maybe, since it doesn't scream worth a full length one.

Rather weak staff, though.

Ricchan as the Summer Ghost! I've been interested to see this for a while now. I hope it'll be accessible for international viewers quickly.
