'Mieruko-chan' Unveils Cast, Additional Staff, First Promo for October 2021

The official website of the Mieruko-chan anime series revealed the main cast, additional staff, second teaser visual (pictured), first promo, and opening theme song on Friday. The television anime adapting Tomoki Izumi's comedy horror manga will debut on Tokyo MX, BS NTV, AT-X, and d Anime Store this October.

Sora Amamiya is also performing the opening theme "Mienaikara ne!?" as Miko Yotsuya. Nobuharu Saitou (5-toubun no Hanayome opening theme) wrote and composed the song, with arrangement by Ryuuichi Takagi (Kono Yo no Hate de Koi wo Utau Shoujo YU-NO second opening) at music production company Dream Monster.

Yuuki Ogawa (FLCL Progressive) is directing the anime at Passione, with Kenta Ihara (Youjo Senki) handling the series composition and script. Chikashi Kadekaru (Juuni Taisen) is credited as the character designer, as well as a chief animation director. Makoto Uno (Rail Wars! character design) is also credited for the monster design.

Izumi originally posted Mieruko-chan on his Twitter account in September 2018. Kadokawa's ComicWalker web manga portal began serializing the manga in November that year. The fifth volume shipped on March 22. Yen Press licensed the manga in English last July and published the third volume on June 29. The fourth volume is planned for a November 16 release.
