'Tokyo 7th Sisters' Anime Film Reveals Staff, Key Visual, First Trailer

An official website opened for the anime film adaptation of the smartphone idol game Tokyo 7th Sisters on Tuesday, revealing the first trailer, staff, and a key visual (pictured). The anime film, titled Tokyo 7th Sisters: Bokura wa Aozora ni Naru (Tokyo 7th Sisters: We Will Become the Blue Sky), is set to have a limited release in Japanese theaters this summer.

The game's lead director Shintarou Motegi is credited for the film's original concept, script, and is in charge of music production at studio Victor Entertainment. The cast members from the game will reprise their respective roles for the film.

Hope this isn't on the level of Ongaku Shoujo TV. Was so disappointed in that anime and the music was nothing like their music releases prior to both the TV anime and that OVA.

The film is going to be solid, I just wish digital distribution was more of a thing in Japan, so more folks can see it on release (similar to how films are getting released as downloads in the states, some on release day).
