Kadokawa opened an official website for the television anime adaptation of Kei Sazane's Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Aruiwa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen (The Last Battlefield Between You and I, or Perhaps the Beginning of the World's Holy War) light novel on Wednesday, revealing the main staff members and a teaser visual (pictured).

Sazane began penning the action fantasy novel series—abbreviated as KimiSen—in May 2017 with illustrations by Ao Nekonabe. Fujimi Shobo will publish the ninth volume on Friday.

Young Animal began serializing a manga adaptation by okama (Himawari!) in May 2018. Hakusensha shipped the third compiled volume on December 26 last year.

Yen Press licensed both the light novel and manga adaptation in English under the title Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World last February. The third novel volume will be released on April 28. The first manga volume shipped last year on November 5.

Personally I just see this as a show that might be leaning to being entertaining for me. If it turns out to be not that fun then it wouldn't be much of a loss, but I will keep an eye out on this.

Sounds like my type of anime. We haven't had much HS proxy battle harem-like anime since Rakudai. Its refreshing to see a once popular trend continue to have feet.

Not kirito and not Asuna show

With just the look and the staff I can know the treatment that this character will receive, no protagonist with the appearance of Kirito will be good because the studios are always inclined to give him null development and characterization and instead they focus on the girls.

Godnuma and Silver Link, but hey at least it's not isekai nor vrmmo.

It doesn't matter if this is isekai or not, the problem is that it is another mindless writing light novel adaptation, and an excuse to surround a girl or several around the protagonist

Have complete faith in the directors and the studio (since I do like a lot of SILVER LINK's adaptations). But the only thing that really concerns me is the guy behind the series composition. Don't think anyone wants a repeat of what happened to Taimadou Gaken 35 about 5 years back.
