Animated Trigun the Movie Planned for 2009 in Japan

The promotional cover wrapper on the 14th, and final, volume of Trigun Maximum. The movie will air in theatres in 2009. The movie will, however, contain a completely original story and Nightow and Trigun series director. The movie will be directed by Satoshi Nishimura (Trigun, Hajime no Ippo) and a script from Yasuko Kobayashi (Claymore, Shakugan no Shana, Witchblade). The series will be animated by Madhouse studios.

The cover of the manga indicates that the story will be about "Vash vs. Wolfwood," the two main characters. The idea of a Trigun movie first arose over 2 years ago in an interview with Madhouse founder Masao Maruyama.

I can't wait to see the movie. Maybe I'll rewatch Trigun again. XD I first saw it 5 years ago and I've rewatched it 2 or 3 years ago. I think It's time to get some animated Trigun-action again, although I'm currently reading Maximum (so awesome <3).
