New Anime Streaming Smartphone App 'Tate Anime' Launches in Spring
A website for a new anime streaming smartphone app titled Tate Anime has launched and announced eight new short anime that will be streamed there every weekday. The app is planned to launch this Spring, but is available for pre-registration. A total of eight series so far will be streamed through the app with each containing 10 episodes, with a duration of three minutes. The lineup consists of: T-sensei, Luna-tan: 1-man Nen no Himitsu, Hitorigurashi no Shougakusei, a new adaptation of Kuruneko, Zannen Onna Kanbu Black General-san, Africa no Salaryman, Dekiru kana, and Jingisukan no Jin-kun.
T-sensei
The main character, T-sensei, from the previously announced anime adaptation will be voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki (Active Raid: Kidou Kyoushuushitsu Dai Hachi Gakari).
Luna-tan: 1-man Nen no Himitsu
Previously announced Luna-tan: 1-man Nen no Himitsu. will be among the eight titles Tate Anime will stream.
Hitorigurashi no Shougakusei
Synopsis
The full colored 4-koma web manga follows a nine-year-old girl who lives alone in Enoshima in the 1980s. She owns a restaurant and greets her customers brightly with energy.
Hitorigurashi no Shougakusei was published on the writing community site E★Everystar by Kouichirou Matsushita. Two volumes of Kindle version are available, and both later published physically as Hitorigurashi no Shougakusei: Enoshima no Natsu by Takarajimasha in 2016.

Kuruneko
Kuruneko began in 2006 by author Kuruneko Yamato in an attempt to adopt stray cats. She updates her comic on her blog. Realistic and daily lives of the Kuruneko family is depicted from the author's point of view. It previously received two anime series and one side story between 2009 and 2011.

Zannen Onna Kanbu Black General-san
The main character, Black General-san will be voiced by Aimi Tanaka (Himouto! Umaru-chan).
Synopsis
Miss Black General is the villainous leader of RX, a secret organization bent on world domination. Unfortunately, Miss Black General also has a huge crush on Brave Man, a costumed superhero dedicated to foiling RX's evil schemes, and she often mistakes his violent heroics for an overly enthusiastic form of flirtation. Zannen Onna Kanbu Black General-san began its serialization in May 2015. The manga has two compiled volumes in print, with latest published in October 2016.

Africa no Salaryman
Synopsis
The comedy manga follows a lion, toucan, and lizard as they live the lives of office workers in a capitalist society in Japan, while also dealing with their unique situations as animals living beyond the savanna and the food chain. (Source: ANN)
Africa no Salaryman began its serialization in Gene pixiv in November 2014. Kadokawa have published the physical volumes since May 2015. Two compiled volumes of the series have been released, with the latest volume shipping on March 26.

Dekiru kana
Synopsis
A group of children find a kit to a Geiger counter at Akihabara one day. It leads to Natrium leak incident with a nuclear power Monju. They have the spirit of "let's do anything, let's go anywhere" to try anything.
Dekiru kana is based on a comic essay by Eriko Saibara, which was published in 2002. The sequel Dekiru Kana Returns was published in 2004.

Jingisukan no Jin-kun
The main character is a little sheep-looking mascot from Hokkaido. It is gluttonous, yet calm. The character has its official website.

if you goes to tv rangkings thread, you will know streaming is still has niche market that mostly used by otaku... it's called torne rangkings or somethings...
Because they can watch it on TV, they just record it and watch, no need to pay for streaming.
This looks better since they're streaming exclusive series I think, too many streaming sites is bad thou.

they've been streaming anime since forever. too bad they're typically only available for Japanese residents (region-lock)

Ah... er... I think this is just something everyone else avoided simply due to how stupid it is... Kids prefer bigger screens, they usually don't start liking smaller screens randomly over the years. I personally started on a phone, trying to hide it, so it doesn't bother me.
I'm probably looking into it a bit much though; whoever is making this probably had statistics on how much people watch on their phones.
