'Fate/Apocrypha' TV Anime Announced for 2017
An official site opened and revealed that light novel Fate/Apocrypha will be getting a TV anime adaptation for 2017. The staff has also been announced.
Synopsis
The setting of Fate/Apocrypha is a parallel world to Fate/stay night where the Greater Grail was removed from Fuyuki after the Third Holy Grail War and disappeared for many years. Around the 2000s, around the same time as the Fifth Holy Grail War would have happened, the group that plundered the Grail, Yggdmillennia, openly declares their secession from the Mage's Association and that they are in possession of the Grail. The Association dispatches fifty magi to retrieve it, but all but one are instantly slaughtered by Lancer of Black. The one remaining manages to activate the reserve system of the Greater Grail, allowing for the summoning of fourteen Servants in total.
This marks the start of the Great Holy Grail War in Trifas, featuring two different factions, the Black Faction, whose members are part of Yggdramillennia, and the Red Faction, whose members were sent by the Mage's Association with the exception of one from the Church. The Grail itself also summons Ruler to act as a mediator of the Holy Grail War. (Source: Type-Moon Wikia)

They will have a hard time beating that. It was dark, grisly, well plotted and paced.
Also it was good to have Saber smacked around and told to drop her whiny princess act.

I could swear she's like proto-Dark Sakura (yandere with powers, and cooking skills)+proto-Kotomine (artificial heart given by the grail+wanting Beast/Avenger to do tragedy again for the evulz)+proto-Ryougi (lolakasha direct link)+proto-Illya (sadistic loli with light hair).
We have yet to even see Altrouge, or even know of her personality, Fai. What do you speak?

Is it the face?Plz, Takeuchi has like 3 main face types anyway.
Is it the ahoge? She always had it.Or at least since MB.
>same remake which is bound to have shitload of changed plot details and which even got disconnected from Mahoyo connection by changing the town TsukihimeRE is set in? That remake?
Ranting and being salty before reading something is a bad habit of yours.
>but Nasu now went out of the way to claim Tsukihime is separate and DAAs don't even exist in fateverse?
What even is Zelretch.
>Primate Murder
Angra Mainyu's real identity, V/V, Nero's history, Arcueid, Roa, Vampire Nero....
> trivializing Altrouge
Like every antagonist/villain in Nasuverse ever.
>You mean the same franchise that hinges on concept of Types, which Nasu completely trivialized and forgot creating...
What even is V/V. You know...that Type that took the form of a beautiful Angel and went and lived with the human that killed her/it.

You mean the same remake they kept teasing for years(it was teased in freaking 2008 thats almost ten years ago) and we have nothing on it beyond few pictures where Arcueid is literally turned into Saber clone? Same remake which is bound to have shitload of changed plot details and which even got disconnected from Mahoyo connection by changing the town TsukihimeRE is set in? That remake?
You mean same Tsukihime franchise that originally was set in the same world as FSN Prologue with Tsukihime events ending around the time of FSN Prologue starting, but Nasu now went out of the way to claim Tsukihime is separate and DAAs don't even exist in fateverse?
You mean same Tsukihime franchise whose one of the most badass lore concepts
You mean the same franchise that hinges on concept of Types, which Nasu completely trivialized and forgot creating
Nasu totally cares about Tsukihime!....
and im sure they did not make Mahōtsukai no Yoru recently... but wait they did...
Which sold below expectations and was supposed to be a trilogy of games yet Nasu did not even start even writing the second game yet and pretty much forgot about it.
Oh and also it was released before Nasu went full George Lucas with Fate retcons and poorly written stuff like FGO and Extella. 2012 is not "recently". Its five years ago.
Did Aoko even appear anywhere in the current era of "Nasuverse"? Because who needs her when you can have Scathach, the aoko-face servant who is a servant, wears pantyhose bodysuit and is in fate and thus sells?

please Please get some nasuverse DDD in here? or hell idk even tuskihime or melty blood but please NO MORE fate/
Hmm... Technically seen, is Melty Bood already by Apocrypha and GO adapted. Because with Melty Blood did to first times Nasu and Takeuchi their works together clashed (from several franchises of the Nasu-/TM-universe, like e.g. Fate with Kara no Kyouaki). Melty Blood is the so to say 1.0 ver., Apocrypha 2.0 ver. and GO 3.0 ver. Though, to be honest, I'd not mind if about Melty Blood sometime a proper adaptation give would...xD
And again. Some months ago did Type-Moon announced: that Tsukihime a re-make gets - firstly at the game - I'm sure that after the release of the game's sometime later then also the announcement for a re-make-anime-adaptation give will. Let's be more patient and let's wait still...^_^
Though, I guess that the end for Fate soon coming will, where then finally Mahoutsuaki no Yoru coming can...xD
what are you talking about fate/Apocrypha is not melty blood 2.0
melty blood involves the nasuverse demons and vampires
fate/series including aporcrypha is part of the holy grail wars. i.e servants and mages.
they take place in the same universe but in different locations/cites
also if were talking about order of what came out first kara no kyoukai was the first series for nasu
after that was Tsukihime then fate/stay then melty blood
May you R.I.P. Tsukihime.
What's that? Does it contain servants, Seiba or fanservice?
Because if not I am sure Nasu already forgot about it.
ya i guess thats why were not getting a remake of tsukihime oh wait...
and im sure they did not make Mahōtsukai no Yoru recently... but wait they did...

Hmm... To be honest, I'd really see the announcement: where ufotable finally Mahoutsuaki no Yoru adapting would!
as long as fate/cashcow is making money i dont think they will ever touch the other and in my opinion more interesting parts of the nasu verse

So they made one bad adaptation of Fate and now everyone forgets they were also responsible for Fate/Zero.
I'll just wait how the whole Heaven's Feel trilogy will come out then make my final judgment whether ufotable is a good studio for the franchise. But then again, they also did Kara no Kyoukai which is Type-Moon stuff so I'm legit confused but for comparison's sake I'll leave out KnK and focus my judgment within Fate grounds only.
UBW(for those that think it was shit)+Knk 6 are a bigger deal than FZ and 8 other KnK adaptations. The good stuff never count.
You just have to ignore the butthurt snob fanboys and you will be alright.
If you're talking about Fai, which I'm quite sure you are considering you seem to be mortal enemies, then rest assured I don't take him seriously. I never take trolls who have the time to make alts to support his own statements or whose opinions consists of 99% salt seriously. I've seen enough of his comments in the Fate and Zestiria sub-forums or even here in News Discussion already.

Depends on budget. It's not like A-1 is bad or smth. Just Ufotable usually has an endless amount of $$$.
PS: I'm actually happy about this.
Fate ≠ Ufotable

One studio should not be synonymous with a franchise especially after those missteps and ufotable's quantity-focused crunch philosophy that already was shown to be able to break their shows(god eater). There's enough ufotable begging as it is with people even mistakenly thinking that Nasuverse was made by ufotable. Alas Nasuverse does not belong to ufotable.
Not every studio is good fit for everything.
Ufo is too good for Apocrypha and Ufo would absolutely be unable to do Extra justice. Likewise I literally would not be able to imagine ufo doing any justice to Tsukihime adaptation(wordy psychological work filled with introspective monologues, reliance on atmosphere building and less-is-more mentality of setting), yet ufo would be perfect fit for mahoyo(quippy straightforward story with lots of exploding stuff and mostly direct characters with shifting points of view).
A1 is perfect fit for Apo even if director is extremely worrisome in his capability of making bad things worse.

It will end. The evidence is the FSN and the spin off are being adapted, in the future, I think there'll be no left material to be adapted. Then you can go die in peace
May god hear your wise words and end this holly long and painfull journey
