Both are to be released on March 4.

Well, I doubt the second box will come out anytime soon. Probably around the time the individual DVDs catch up. So there's time.
Well, time's not reall an issue. I could go out and drop $240 in one pop for a DVD set if I thought the show was worth it. Even though I kind of liked Blood+, I did not like it $240 worth. (-_o)
Now, if I could pick up the two box sets for $30-40 each, I might buy, but if it does not come down that much I can live without it and will just spend my money on something else. ^_^

I liked the series, but not enought to fork over $240 for the whole thing (remember, its a 50 ep series, so if the box of the first 25 eps are $120, then the second box will probably be the same).
I don't know what Sony's normal policy is as far as discounting series after the initial release, but I'll just wait to see if it ever gets repriced to something more reasonable down the road.

I wonder if the individual DVDs will eventually get their own box. Heh, I'm such a box whore.
I love box sets. I'll buy entire box sets over individuals any day.

More info on the Part I set. It comes with six discs. Five episodes per disc with the sixth containing bonus materials. The set will also include a t-shirt and a manga sampler
>_>; That explains the price, sorry but I don't want a t-shirt and manga sampler... so what that's 10-20$ cheaper without? Oh well *waits for sale*
Hm, the extras do sound nice, but I just want the anime. ;x

Not really... assuming that you'd probably pay $25~$30 for 4~5 eps on a single dvd... <.<;
that's the thing, I don't buy the volumes containing 4-5 episodes. I usually wait for the boxed sets to be released. also, if a series that's in the 26 episode range costs more than $80, I pass on it and wait for the price to drop. I'm a cheap bastard. =/

And if you have a Got Anime? Membership at RightStuf, you can get it at their price of $107.96 plus a 10% discount. And if you're patient, they may have one of those store-wide sales (only for in-stock items though) where there's about 20% off.
So rightstuff is trustworthy? Cause my sis was gonna order some stuff through it, but apparently the site said they wouldnt send anything or whatever unless she showed them the front and back of her credit card, which she didn't want to do cause she said that no sites ever asked for the back of her credit card before, since it has the social security number or whatever there called on the back, you know so she uh yeah...

O.M.F.G <___<;
MANY MANY MANY MANY online stores ask for that specific number. this is to ensure that the card is in the owner's possession, and that they didn't just happen to copy the main number down on a piece of paper. it's NORMAL. there is nothing "suspicious" about asking for that number. D: they won't be able to 'hack' anything with it. and it's not a social security number, lolz. it's just a verification number, jeez. xD;

Cool. Thanks for being our thrifty shopper. Now some of us are going to have to get that membership... or attempt patience. Don't know how well that will work for some. ^_~
