New Animated Movie Produced by 'AnoHana' Staff Announced [Update 9/1]

It was announced today at the AnoHana Summer Festival Final that a new movie similar to Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai by AnoHana director Tatsuyuki Nagai, script writer Mari Okada, and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka is in production for a 2015 premiere. More information such as the title will be announced at a later time.

Update September 1
The AnoHana Twitter announced that the studio will be A-1 Pictures, the same studio as the AnoHana TV series. There is also a mysterious egg on the official site, which will be revealed later.

Did you even read the topic? How are they milking the series if this is a different work? It's like saying that Watanabe is milking Cowboy Bebop because he's Zankyou no Terror's director...

I guess people either love Mari Okada or hate Mari Okada. I loved her work in Anohana, NagiAsu, and Toradora :) I still need to watch Hanasaku Iroha though.

Ano natsu was not related to Anohana in any way at all, apart from having the same character designer and director. Mari Odaka was not involved with Ano Natsu. Ano Natsu is related to the 'Please Teacher' and 'Please Twins' series.
