Nintendo DS Game Professor Layton To Be an Anime Movie [Updated]

According to Oricon news, an anime movie based on a Nintendo DS puzzle game "Professor Layton (Layton Kyouju)" series was announced. The title is "Professor Layton The First Movie" and it will be shown in the theaters in January 2010. The cast of the main characters is the same as that of the game:

Professor Hershel Layton: Oizumi Yo
Luke: Horikita Maki

Oh, that's another one I'll watch. I wonder how the plots will be if Phoenix Wright is ever animated.

I've heard very good things about this game but I haven't played it yet. I probably should. Though I do love it when games become an anime.

I tried the online DS demo, not bad. However, I don't intend on buying or playing the game, so generally, I am not interested in the anime movie.

Edit: Professor Layton is getting an anime movie, sounds nice!!! :)

Professor Layton is an awesome game~
An anime movie sounds cool, even though the movie will be in Japanese and I played the game in English.

Wow, I can't believe they are actually making this game into an anime and live action!! I played it when I first got it (which was around March) and now I'm replaying it 'cause I just love the puzzles, the music, and the characters. Also, the animation is very well done, and the english voices are actually decent (which I think that's rarely the case in english games). Looking forward to watching this!

Playing the game made me feel like I missed a really good show from the past. The animated clips in the game is nothing short of amazing.
