Oshii Mamoru's New Anime Movie Announced

According to MyCom Journal news, Production I.G. will produce a new anime movie "Miyamoto Musashi -Souken ni Haseru Yume-" with Oshii Mamoru. The movie is about the tragic life of a legendary Samurai "Miyamoto Musashi" and the spectacular battles with his rivals. It's planned to be shown in the theaters in the early summer 2009.

Director: Nishikubo Mizuho ("Ghost in the Shell")
Script writer: Oshii Mamoru
Character Designer: Nakazawa Kazuto ("Samurai Champloo")

Cool!! Can't wait to see that! With the same director of Ghost In The Shell and the artist of Samurai Champloo, I'm expecting something great. At least an anime based on the Great Musashi :P

Although I wasn't too fond of the character design in Champloo.
