Minami-Ke Gets Third Season [Updated on Nov 10]

An alleged third season for the anime series Minami-Ke has been reported in Japan.

The manga has been out since 2004 and the first season aired in 2007.

The fault of Okawari was they tried to add some "sad" drama to a show that relies mainly on gags and comedy. The end result was a mis match of genres and it failed horrible at both. It was neither sad nor funny.

Meh, more blonde Chiaki, blackfaced mobs and the others feats of Okawari characters designs D= At least I hope that with the new director the series will regain at least some of its humour that was lost in Okawari.

Change of the director can have a great effect on the anime. I hope it works for the better. I just don't wanna see another original character screwing up the story.

Series organizer: Suzuki Masashii ("Shuffle!", "D.C. II S.S.", "Utawarerumono")

Other staff of Minamike 3 were not given in the article.

Asread produces Minamike third Season
According to New Type magazine, the third season of "Minami-ke" will be produced by Asread, the production company of "Minami-ke ~Okawari~". It will be aired from Jaunary 2009.

Director: Oikawa Kei (the episode director of "Da Capo II Second Season")
Series organizer: Kojika Rie("Kanokon")
Character designer: Tanaka Masaki (the episode graphic director of "Shuffle!", "Minami-ke ~Okawari~")

I liked the first season, but after I read some negative reviews, I decided not to watch the second season. Hopefully this third season will be better.

An anonymous animator disclosed that Asread will be in charge of the production of Minamike Season 3 in his blog. The character design was done by Tanaka Masaki, same as in Okawari.
