In present times, Gods and Demons coexist together with Humans after the door between each of these worlds had opened. Tsuchimi Rin is a normal young high school student attending Verbena Academy, spending his days living peacefully with his childhood friend Kaede. Unexpectedly, one day the King of Gods, the King of Demons and their families move in to be Rin's next door neighbors. Apparently the daughter of the Gods, Sia, and the daughter of the demons, Nerine, are both deeply in love with Rin after having met him in the past. Along with his playful friendship with upperclassmen Asa and his encounter with the silent but cute Primula, Rin has much on his hands dealing with the affections of each of these girls. Shuffle while at first seems like an early two thousands harem fan service show which it kind of is deviated from others to me at least because of the sound design and music the music that plays throughout the episodes reminds me of majula in dark souls 2 it's a welcoming sound that is also somewhat sinister like something made by puppet combo which was enough to raise this show from a 6 to a 8 in my opinion. If you are turned away at first but you liked the atmosphere from dark souls 2 or like puppet combo there's a decent chance you will ... grow to like it if only for the ambience.

Mixed Feelings

It's a well made show. I like the character development and twists. My issue was the fan service, it was weird. If it wasn't there, it would be an amazing show. Like the main character is the generic nice guy, but it makes sense why the girls like him. Like he genuinely cares and is there for the girls when they need him. I will say I liked who he picked as his love and how it ended. My main problem as I said was the fan service, it was just unnecessary, and like how it happened wouldn't happen irl. At the guy isn't a ... degen-

I wanted to like this show, but the story was all over the place. It became interesting later on, but it was too late at that point. It's a good thing there was plenty of fan service. I was able to entertain myself with that.

The first half is mostly a comedy, with the girls all trying to get Rin's attention and the other boys in the school getting angry about it. The second half of the series is darker and more serious, as it delves into the main characters' backgrounds and deals with their issues and problems. Rin is an okay male lead for a ... typical harem show because he seems like an average guy, not a loser or a jerk. However, my main issue is the story and pointless demons and gods theme. They could have been normal humans, and it wouldn't change the story at all. There are only 2 or 3 scenes throughout the entire series where their magic matters and even these are executed badly. Also, In the first episode, we meet two girls who seem to be competing for the main character's heart, but one of them rarely appears, and there is no real competition. Both of them give up on him at one point. There are a few nice dramatic moments, but after being bored by the rest of the show, they didn't really have an impact on me.
