Anime Central will be the UK's first dedicated anime TV channel. They will begin in September on Sky Digital airing mainstream anime such as FMA, Gundam Seed, Wolf's Rain, Planet ES, Cowboy Bebop and others. The shows will air between 9 PM and 6 AM.

The official website was launched yesterday but offers nothing at the moment other than their logo and the official press release has not taken place yet.

there is an anime section in Propeller (Sky channel 195) called Anime Network and they show Elfen Lied, Evangelion and 2 or 3 more series but is only on sunday nights so I'm quite happy about this. I had Homechoice and I switched to Sky so :DDD (never get Sky broadband though, it's shit!)

I suppose this is a step forward. But I can't afford a license fee, let alone the likes of Sky subscription. Plus, since Virgin swallowed telewest I'd not be able to anyway, and even if I could, this would be the only thing I'd be getting it for. So, no thanks.

Whatever happened to anime on channel 4? THAT was a good idea.

I missed most of that...

I would go for Sky but not sure how much it costs cause the prices keep changing every few weeks

Somehow in my head i wish Virgin would get swallowed by SKY... but that wouldnt be good competition for one company to take over all...

Well the only anime in that list that interest me is FMA, well i know its out in the UK but there are at least 13 DVD volumes... (I dont watch anime on the internet if its availible on in the UK)

Virgin Media wont get it for ages or at all!
Why are SKY such idiots!?

Power hungry fools who love to monopolise things like these?
