4Kids losing lots of money
As reported by Fool.com, 4Kids' stock has been going nowhere but down. Now in their second declining quarter with sales 28% lower than usual ($12 million), things aren't looking very good. In a business that is directly related to "fads" and "in's", 4Kids isn't on the "in" side it would appear. Not only are they losing money, but it seems they're spending a bundle too. In the past 6 months, 4Kids' spending has gone up by 500%.
Perhaps new releases such as Sega's cartoon series, Dinosaur King, will help, but it's too soon to tell. If anything's certain though, buying 4Kids stock shouldn't be on your top priority list.

Good, instead of buying up all anime rights they should be hiring quality VAs and do less anime but in the end producing a much better dub. I really hope all the companies right now go down the shitter and someone with half a brain emerges. I can't even name 5 anime that I consider good dubs from any company.

Definitely. I'm not so sure Dinosaur King is going to help all that much either. Hehe. I believe many anime fans are discovering fansubs online and use that as their source of anime intake. Also, Viz is probably one of the more better English dub companies, well, much better than 4Kids anyway.
As Sandgolem already stated, what they did with One Piece will forever stay in my mind and because of them, One Piece probably lost tons of American audience.

hmm, I'm surprised I thought that with masterpiece hits like, Viva Pinata, The Winks Club, and Crash Dummies profits would be soaring.~~
I just don't get it, it's mind boggling, that it is....
