Lucky Star Manga Licensed

At a panel during the Comic-con International yesterday, Bandai Entertainment announced that it has licensed Lucky ☆ Star.

The anime series is already licensed in a joint project by Bandai Entertainment and Kadokawa Pictures USA.

Ya know, I think Lucky Star will be the first manga I'll purchase. Lucky Star is a series I just can't say "no" to. :3

The manga is pretty much the same
Almost word for word for the first 4 episodes, i believe.

Besides, I want that manga.
But none of my top picks are being licensed

It could be towards the end of this year, and/or beginning of next year. Since Haruhi being licensed was announced in April, novel [or was it manga? o_O;] being released for november, then in december something else comes out too.

Jesus Christ. I finished watching this anime and hated it. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya was way better >_< I used to love Lucky Star but now I don't really see what I saw in it... its horrible ;_;

lol I said exactly the same thing word for word when the OVA was announced.

But I'm a bit worried about this one. I get the feeling the translation is going to suck. Same thing with Zetsubou sensei. Based on Lucky Star's popularity and on Bandai's want to capitalize on it's success, I think the manga is going to be over-translated in the hope that narutards will pick it up.

But that's just me :)

This is fantastic news, I'm so excited!! :) I've already read a couple scanlation chapters and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Will be even better with the actual manga!
