There's a great article about Planzet on the Manga UK blog which I think may interest you!

I just hope they don't waste their talented VAs on this trash. I don't want to see their reputations spoiled.

They probably got it for $5.
LOL. That's probably all it's worth anyway.
Probably not even worth downloading for free.
Talking about the cost of acquiring the license, not watching it.
I know that hun. Also the lowest I've seen a license based on that article I mentioned was around $12,000~$14,000. Although seeing as how this movie is shorter than Air its probably $1,000~$9,000. Then again it depends on how much CoMix/Media Factory wanted.

I really wish they would also say how much each license costs when they announce new titles. It would be interesting to see how much anime companies usually spend on one series.
I'd be interested too, but I'm sure it'd probably be to confidential to just give up to the general public.

5.94 overall......I love mecha, but if its going to be average~below average no thanks.

They are also dubbing it I just hope the movie was a cheap license or else money went down the drain that could have been spent getting a better series.

No license is ever cheap.

I remember seeing a article on ANN about how much ADV spent on licenses and the cheapest one they got was the AIR movie which was I think $12,000~$14,000 while there most expensive one was Kurau Phantom Memory which they spent $900,000 on.

So seeing how this movie is only 55 minutes I'm sensing it will be around Air's price range.

It would be nice if they would spend their time and money releasing good series on bluray instead of only dvd releases. They could have had a decent chunk of my money if it wasn't for the dvd-only releases.
