Yeah, guess I was overestimating that G4U bundle quite a bit. It might only be a 15k seller total and that is significantly lower than I expected with how big Idolmaster is among otaku there.

I like P4 anime, and hardcore fan of the game as you can see from my sig that already stay for a years now.
Its quite decent and never fail to entertain me, the only problem is the awful animation quality in most of the time. I bet this anime have no proper production time (and all the problem they have with all of that labor rumor) due to they want chasing the two new game release date, money talks. I'm doubting the budget that they have too, but to me its seem production time that hurt the most, due to apparent the lack of detail.
But its still pleased me overall, I'd import it if I have some money. And like I'm saying, Soejima's cover art is good enough reason for those silly fan to buy.

I'd expect at least 2/3 of its sales to be the Gravure thing. Its like what, 15 dollars more and it lets you take pictures of the girls doing all kinds of poses in bikinis. What Idolmaster fan wouldn't get that instead.

That's retarded. P4 could have 1/10th that number of those sales, and it would still be too much.
It takes a ton of concentrated fail to get me to drop something, and P4 pulled it off by the 4th episode. >_<
Talk about a pre-existing fan base inflating the number of sales it deserves.

I love both Oath Sign and My Dearest, but I really expected My Dearest to be higher in sales. Oh well. Whatever. They're both amazing. So is MEMORIA.

This doesn't make sense. People thought they'd cancel it because the tv series has visible problems, and not only regarding the animation, just as the crazy pacing.
Not only that but I find it simply stupid that you think of the animators who voiced their problems with studio as simply feeling more important than the project.

I'm inclined to believe that v2 will end up at around the low 30s. V2's estimates should be about dead on because it wasn't at the number 2 spot for days on end like v1 was. Given how close the DVD estimates for vol 1 were as well, I'd say the estimates for v2's DVD should be pretty close to what it will do as well. So, we're probably looking at the exact same thing that AnoHana did.

...Umm what's your point? I was talking about production of animation itself. Beside, preorder stalker basically predicted that Persona's sales is minimum 20000 anyway. No need to even compare.

Persona just started their own quarterly magazine, they've got Golden coming out for Vita and a fighting game coming out for the consoles. Persona is a big franchise right now (for a JRPG), so the anime being a major hit shouldn't be any surprise. The funny thing is how people thought they'd actually cancel it because of some animators who thought they were more important than the project when they've got a massive hit on their hands.

Well, it depends on what you consider very popular. It sold well enough to cover the production values for Atlus and it is well known by the JRPG fandom, but if you think of the game market as a whole, I wouldn't say it's very popular.

So we have zero way of knowing how many bundles sold, and zero way of knowing how many of those bundle purchases would have been standalone BD purchases if the BD weren't in the LE of the game release.
