Live Action Movie of Ouran High School Host Club Announced

According to Oricon news, a live action film of Ouran High School Host Club was announced to be premiered in March 2012. The actors of the live action TV drama will play the same rolls in the movie.

I didn't like most of the actors chosen for the series, but i did enjoy it. I thought it was amusing, so hopefully this movie will be as well.

I only watch the live action coz Daito Shunsuke is HOT!!!!!

honestly speaking, I is disappoint. yes, i indeed watched the tv series - 2 episodes. then I couldn't take it anymore because the characters just totally did NOT agree with my visual thought of the characters - TAMAKI of all people! he's supposed to be freaking blond and gorgeous, not a brown-haired gorilla. okay, that was mean, but really - that was my reaction when I saw him. I just couldn't stand it - the anime visual effects kinda failed too. Trying to incorporate anime and live-action film is quite a bit of a recipe for disaster. anime is SUPPOSED to be unrealistic, while live-action SHOULD stay REALISTIC. there's a strict borderline between the two and how much they can be integrated, and I think that the Ouran High School Host Club's TV series/movie definitely showed how much of a recipe of disaster the two can be.

why dont you guys just give the live action a chance
1. its not stupid or dumb so stop saying that
2. you should appreciate the time and effort they put into making it for us
3. if you dont like it DONT WATCH IT...BUT DONT BASH IT
4. just shut up about hating it and let it go
5. you never know they might make a movie out of the anime
6. BE PATIENT AND UNDERSTAND YOU DONT HAVE TO WATCH IT

So how many people whining in here actually watched the show? :/ I don't think it's fair to hate it if you haven't even watched it.

I thought it was great and I'm looking foreword to the movie.

Agreed, an anime movie would be way better.
But I guess a live-action is still better than nothing at all.

it wont be the same without the colorful hair and eyes :( the actors should at least wear a wig and color contacts maybe just maybe i would watch it but i would rather have 2nd season or a movie or even a short special would be great.

I actually like the live action, although I see no need for a movie.
The actors all fit the role very well, except for Tamaki..
I don't think he's that attractive, but his acting is good!

Skip the live action which nobody will watch and just have a 2nd anime season or an anime movie; either one of those is wayyyy better than any live action could hope to be. Live action Haruhi, Tamaki, & Honey bother me...

This just reminded me that I never got around to checking out the TV drama. Although, judging from what people are saying about it, it isn't very good. No surprises there I guess but I might still give the first episode a try. I dunno if I'd bother with this movie though.
