Madhouse To Remake Hunter x Hunter Anime with New Staff and Cast [Update Aug 3]

According to Mainichi, the new Hunter x Hunter anime will start on October 2nd. Madhouse Studios will remake it from the beginning of the story. The production staff and the voice cast are renewed. Nihon TV prepared a new programming block for the new anime at 10:55 am on Sundays. The previous TV series was aired on Fuji TV in 1999. The change of the broadcasting TV channel is quite unusual.

naruto and bleach don't get BD releases, so ...
i'll be surprised if hxh gets BDs.

It should be at least 100, I'd say. Original was like 90, but they're going at a faster pace so they might be able to fit the most recent arc into 100. Who knows if it'll go on further than that.

I Believe that this remake is not a waste of effort....

it will reach until chimera arc and so on...

I don't mind rewatching the whole series again as long as we get to the part where Gon and Killua learns how to use Nen and enters a tournament ASAP. The hunter exam is kinda boring IMO.

I did not notice there is Morel in right corner, ive always notice is in kaito at the middle
and Biscue for Greed Island Arc....

If we look carefully on the picture of Hunters (when introduction part in the beginning of every episode) below:

And if my eyes didn't fool me. The person in the far-right should be Morau/Morel holding his giant smoking pipe.

So, if that's true, the chance is very high for this Remake to reach Chimera Ant arc. And I think that should be true, because what's the point of making Remake if it only reaches the same point with the old version.

i hated the childish drawing
and the bright colours!!

i dont think this will have a good adventure as before!!
but we cant do anythign except watching it !! :P

I'm a bit sad that Kurapika (my FAAAVE character) is being voiced by Sawashiro Miyuki. Every time I hear her, I think of Lag Seeing...and lots of accompanying waterworks (-__-;)

It's clear this will suck.
I can ignore the change in the excellent seiyuus and composers of the first one, I can even ignore the Disney style, but they're clearly taking the kiddie side thanks to you know who and already made Hisoka uninteresting.
I can already see this remake bombing and any chance of getting Chimera ant arc animated buried for another 10 years.

I'm an avid Fan of Hunter X Hunter long ago, I'm looking forward for good fluid fighting scene. Hope they're not messing up with the original one.

45+ episodes is just a default number. So long as the series is moderately sucessful they will put out more episodes
