Ok, I live for edgy/dark manga (and anything else really), so when I heard everyone making a big deal about this title, I had to read it.

My expectations were set pretty high because of all the hype surrounding the series, which probably impacted my judgement in a negative way, as it did not completely live up to that hype.

I love the premise of the story. It's definitely original and I haven't seen many other hentai that have tried to be anything other than mindless smut. Which I don't mind, but it can get boring.

However, this attempt at realism is also the series' downfall for me.

The ... main character's mindset towards life and other people doesn't make sense to me. How willingly she trusts complete strangers. How attached she becomes to these men who abuse her. How much she loves sex right from the beginning. None of this makes sense in a character coming from her background and especially for her age.

I guess we don't get to see much of her life before her descent into substance abuse begins. From what is provided, she seems to have a pretty normal home life. Her dad gets creepy when she gets a makeover, true. But, before then it doesn't seem like she's been through anything particularly traumatic or unusual.

Someone coming from an average background like that doesn't seem like the type to suddenly go all the way with an older stranger and take E.

And even if you are high, I really don't think losing your virginity like that would be pleasurable at all.

The reactions she gets from the drugs she takes don't really make sense. It seems to be written by someone who didn't do much research on any of the drugs used throughout the series. They just seem to be working with cliches surrounding the drugs in question.

Also, you don't really get to see the lowest parts that come with substance abuse. True, you get to see what she's willing to put her body through overtime & how other people ramp up their abuse towards her. But, you don't get to see her own personal mental breakdowns. There's not any exploration of the relationship she has with herself. If you're someone who is living that kind of lifestyle, those moments are a HUGE part of the cycle of addiction. The only thing close to that is what happens at the very end of the series.

I guess, as far as hentai goes, yes this one of the more realistic and darker ones out there that I know of. It's unique and refreshing. However, it could have gone further with it and made it even more messed up.

You could argue that 'hey this is hentai, what do you expect?' Maybe there needed to be the right balance of realism and fantasy. Idk, I'm not a writer lol. For me, it would have enhanced my experience with it. I'm not sure how other people may feel about that. It's clear this work has managed to leave a mark on people just the way it is, and that's the important thing.

Overall, I would recommend other people to read it. Not to get some insight on how drug addiction works in real life. Not to get off to either, unless you're full on sadist. Read it because you probably haven't read anything like it before & you're tired of reading the same old boring cliches in every other hentai/manga.

This... This story was memed so much that some people think that it probably isn't that bad. It's very bad! I was curious about it and my stupid curiosity got the best of me and I read it. It took me weeks to recover from it. It's just a downhill spiral. I want to protect Saki so much. It's not just the story. Almost everyone she has sex with is an ugly bastard. I thought people over exaggerated for how bad it is. Trust me. They are dialing it down. Don't read it, don't look at it, don't interact with it, don't feed it, just ... don't do anything!

No clue why people think this is so depressing or that this is so special. Yes there are some dark events, such as explicit, hardcore drug abuse/use, which is very rare in manga/anime. But the main girl has no personality, just gets raped and enjoys it, and everyone who rapes her, does so in a very lazy, stereotypical hentai character way. So let me explain a long pedantic exposition about hentai and porn to illustrate my argument.

What is porn or rather, what is porn about? Porn is mainly about the sex scene, the part of engaging in the sexual acts. Okay then, therefore hentai ... is a subset of porn because it is mainly defined as porn with anime art styles, whether in manga or anime media. When one searches for porn, most porn on the internet is just the sex. Some porn videos have narratives but many do not. How about hentai? Most hentai, whether Manga or anime or game, is almost never just the sex scene by itself. It's almost always a narrative or small story accompanying it. (Of course one can just skip to the "good parts", but few full hentai medium are the sex scenes alone).

Now, in all hentai, the goal of or simply purpose of it to show a sex scene, by definition. The job of the hentai creator or artist is craft that sex scene and the story around it, or how it would logically get to that point. In general, before the author introduces anything about the setting, characters or plot, we assume people act rationally as in our world, i.e. people don't go around raping people for no reason or provocation, people don't normally enjoy rape like drinking afternoon tea. So, as the author, how does one get to the characters having sex? (and hentai are allowed a very short amount of pages, due to the nature of hentai being pornographic material for a masturbation session) Often, it requires a break from rational or organic thinking/actions. For example, in hentai plots, the guys are sexual deviants, or are faceless serial rapists. Girls are powerless and resist-less, or even enjoy rape. This type of some storytelling is used by some authors, but some would like make it feel more believable by having the plot or characters justify the sex.

An example of this would be in Oni Chichi, the dad uses some asphoradic spray or something in the first episode to get the daughter to have sex with him, as as she was clearly unwillingly to have sex with him by other means. In my opinion, if a plot point makes sense, for example reason to have sex besides just nonsensical rape, it makes the story more believable, more engaging, and therefore more arousal.

There is simply not enough time to develop characters in a meaningful way to rationally explain the motivation why the main guy chooses to rape or the girl enjoys being raped, in 20 pages or minutes of a hentai manga or anime. Explanation, background, motivation, reasoning, is very important to believing a real character in a Manga or in any story and if their actions/behaviors are deemed believable or of organic justification. This is simply not afforded to most hentai for the brevity reason stated previously.

This brings us back to Emergence, while reading this, the entire time it felt like an average, run-of-the-mill rape Manga. The main girl gets raped repeatedly by everyone, whilst enjoying it. There is no explanation, and again probably due to the shortness of being hentai, which is not surprising. There is a scene or two, where the character has a moment of genuine self-reflection and as the reader you are curious about what she thinks. However, this plot/character point doesn't hold much weight again, due to the absurdity of all the characters and plot decisions of the stereotypical lazy hentai. Therefore I cannot take anything seriously, it still feels very unrealistic overall (the art style also does not convey much somberness or serious tones, it looks mostly ahegao). At face value, this just a hentai with some edgy scenes, that certainly does not warrant any level of "depression" or deep ponderment about the characters or plot as many are suggesting. Many other none hentai shows/Manga have done more edgy, disturbing or upsetting things, elfen lied. And other manga such as kurosawa or chikan otoko truly are melodramatic and induce a wide array of sad or void pit emotions.

Kinda of the points i gave to this manga is the simbolism i see. Those things that happends in this manga happends a lot in sociaty and it's sad, when i was watching, for some reason i didn't felt like it was sexualizing, but just warning how sociaty destroys woman in every way.
The art is good, and i think more the story goes the sense of weak get bigger.
i don't recommend this to anyone, the thing that makes me like this manga it's because i don't see it as hentai, but a sad real history. i cried all the expeareance.

obviously it will be some weirdos ... that like his because of the bad parts, and for that, i don't think this piece of art deserves to be heavily touched, is better just... let go.

Story:

The tale of a girl who wanted to be notice. So after graduating junior high she's decides to change her look. But because of that one change plus the longing to be noticed her life takes a drastic change and shift towards a unhealthy addiction and poor support structure. And from there the ... tale roles on.


Art:

This being a Hentai Doujin focusing on the characters being in sexually compromising and humiliating poses, it delivers on that front. Now if we were to talk about the context of said scenes being fetish fuel is another topic that you yourself have to decide on your moral compass. But again, on the merit of art and art alone, it is effective.


Characters:

Well more like character because everyone else feels like a cardboard stand filled to make the protagonist role a living hell. So not much to talk about on this front other than this was severely lacking which completely takes away the depths and ideologies on why people act like terrible individuals. In short, context and motivation is important for stakes to matter.

Speaking of the protagonist, her actions are a bit of contention whether you can sympathize with the whole Coming of Age motif on a dark level or view it as one dimensional or force which presents it in a more disingenuous and trivial way to the actual topic of substance abuse. I fall in the middle. The core concept in which events outside of one control was done in a decently good light while problems I personally saw was how linear her options were. That may have be the point but again, going back to her environment, it felt at points where she just had to get knocked up because "well, this is a hentai" but in doing so cut scenes that I felt should have been more impactful or should have had a more stronger emphasis on. And if they were focused on would have dealt a stronger blow on the grit and reality part.


Extended thoughts:

Also I know this is way beyond the craze from when this blew up in 2017 but this work was definitely an unfortunate side of internet culture that propelled it into a spotlight that honestly was not intending it too. Which in turn put a dumb amount of expectations and preconceived notions like the comparisons to a Inio Asano's Punpun. Which that comparison is wild itself not because of the excuse of "it's a hentai manga" because there have been multiple H series with compelling and adult stories. The problem with making that comparison is that it only causes short sighted discorse and again, unreal expectation and ideologies built up from our own perspectives

Linking it back to the subject matter on the "dark abuse of no return." Topics that we tends to not see in our daily lives that are practically repeating themselves in much more sinister and dangerous ways around the world. Which again is no means to take away from anyone's experience. Which shows that you really need to develop a fully living world more than just stereotype cardboard's of motivation to full it off. And I will give credit where it is due with it's portrayal of blind relational trust/manipulation and how the portrayal of addiction though its art was done consistently. Especially in the end as that was the only way out that the protagonist knew.

Final Thoughts:

In the end I personally feel that the tale itself was a solid alright. Especially skimming the Doujin a second time I caught that it heavily relied on shock imagery and scenarios. Which in turn left the structure, the skeleton and bones of the story bare other than a repetitive cycle of me saying to myself, "Oh, I guess there gonna be bad because the plot" and "I guess she really doesn't have a choice if the plot wills it huh." The balance of being a H manga and the subject matter in the end created it's own worst enemy. Of course this is my experience and if you were curious on checking it out and have a radically different opinion then more power to ya!


Final Final Thoughts:

Enjoyable? Not so much but the concept and idea was a fair and decent tempt. Worth H manga? Far from no given that there are H stories way more disrespectful and full of themselves for the subject matter they handle. Only reason why this one got so much attention was again thanks to meme culture which gave out wild opinions of assumption.

But yeah, it alright for a one and done thing.

I read this because the trash taste bois were having a banter about it and bruh.

This manga isn't tasteful or smart but it couldve been something if they gave the main character a realistic experience of trauma. Instead this manga plays lightly on the way people are affected by dangerous real life experiences- and they thought turning abuse into a hentai would be fun instead so yeah.. I'm not sure what to think about that.
The art is good but don't take any of the writing seriously, I don't think sexualising a teen getting abused should be anyones cup of tea unless youve never been ... outside and think committing crimes against women would be a good time 👍

Now I'm just typing here to reach the word limit because I don't have much else to say about this manga lmao.

This is my first review ever. I felt like this manga was something that I needed to express my opinion on. No hentai manga pulled something like this, or at least I don’t have enough experience on the genre (I typically don’t read anime porn for fun on the free time I have). I went into this manga not because it was a hentai manga (or at least not only lol), but because I saw people commenting about it and it peaked my interest. A few pages into the first chapter and just thought it was just gonna be another ‘girl who likes being ... r*ped’ or something like that for those who have that kink. But as the story progressed, the situation of the MC became progressively worse and I felt genuinely sorry for her, even though she’s a fictional character. I read those last 2 chapters in disgust, anguish and sorrow. I never thought a hentai manga would change my mind on something but this one did.

Now, a brief explanation of what my interpretation of this manga was: Saki (main character) is a girl who never fit in a social group at school. She desperately needed that inclusion. That’s why on the day she got it, Saki could never let go and immediately grew emotional attachment of the ones who called her pretty. She got addicted. Addicted to drugs and words of appreciation. Most the people in this manga were just following sexual instincts and never cared for her. And it all finished at that tragic ending which I won’t spoil, but when you read it, you will know the truth of what happened to her. All because Saki wanted to fit in. This manga shows that fitting in is not everything, and that you should like yourself first, or otherwise you may be controlled by others to think you’re accepted. What is worse is that this may have happened in real life and we wouldn’t even know it. This manga critiques this society that doesn’t care for the ones suffering and is addicted to being accepted without accepting yourself. It critiques that cruel sexual nature that everyone has inside of them. I’m saying this because I think it needs to be said, ain’t the person to get philosophical after reading a book.

Conclusion: Is this manga a punch in the stomach? Yes. Is it dark? Yes. Should you read this? Maybe. Only recommending this manga to the sadistic people who have kinks on the really radical stuff or to people who like dark stories to think about, and regret. (Either way you ain’t sane)

First things first: this is a hentai manga. If you just want to flog the dolphin, just do it and don't take this review seriously. However, if you want to see what Emergence, or Metamorphosis, is all about, go ahead and take a seat.

Emergence is perhaps one of the most infamous hentai mangas. I would argue it's also one of the most overhyped ones. People keep hyping it up as this disturbing, thought-provoking, and deep hentai manga, which I believe it's not. Emergence certainly has a plot that is deeper than most hentai mangas, but it does nothing meaningful with it. It's just a device ... for the main character to have sex with the most despicable, ugly men in the most humiliating ways. At times it's just kind of ridiculous, I don't mean it in a "THERE'S TOO MUCH SEX IN MY HENTAI MANGA!!" way, but it's like every single man she encounters wants to abuse or rape her in some way. It's very bleak and also what makes the manga so disturbing. It's also why I don't think the manga is as deep as people try to make it out to be, aside from our main character none of the side characters have any depth or nuance to them.

I'm going to be honest here, perhaps it's because I've seen movies with similar concepts but with a better execution, this didn't do much for me in terms of emotional weight. Sure, I do feel really bad for the main character, but everything is so over the top disturbing and every side character is so irredeemably evil that I found it hard to take it seriously. I didn't expect a happy ending; in fact, I like that the author chose for a sad ending, but one or two moments of actual hope for the future would have made this manga far more emotional.

But what am I ranting about anyhow, this is just a hentai manga made for obvious purposes. The art is good and the sex scenes are, errr, very detailed. Give it a try if you're curious but if you're not used to bleak and disturbing stories like this, pass on it.

There we go, I almost cried on a hentai. I am disappointed in myself completely. This is just shaking it's plot to side to side and if you decide to go deeper in this, you will feel gutted. Just believe me, this is going from a raw and intercourse like from second to second, and all of a sudden something terrible kicks in.

Story is okay, pretty much what I expected from a hentai manga but YET there are some things that turned table and left me in my own thoughts.

Art is really really good, facial expressions are really on merit here, the scenes at ... the karaoke were my 1st touch with hentai manga, so I got upset a bit to see what kind of f0cked up thing I should expect here.

Every character has it's own personality, none of them is something incredible. I like it, because it can show the real part of life for people who sadly choose that way.

I didn't really enjoyed it, since it contained some scenes that I didn't personally liked, too much aggression for my taste, that scene with her on slide is AWFUL and I was thinking about dropping it because of that.

I think that last scene made it much much happier, and I'm glad that it happened. I went through a rollercoaster of emotions while reading this, but I am happy because of that. Happy, because I show myself how much, no matter of the situation, I always care about someone else's life.

Transgressive, exploitative, and disturbing, this is a horrid tragedy of abuse that in rare glimpses looks into the depths of society and its failings. I'd recommend it if you are prepared for its content, but don't take it so seriously. Take your time, because it's a miserable experience, but it's still only a story. It's not real, or at least it can't turn out this awful.

Otherwise, the middle part does feel padded out and tedious compared to the striking opening and the resonant final chapter. It's still disturbing, but by then you should be accustomed to the manga's stylings. You can probably speed through ... it. Hopefully.

i really contemplated hard on whether i will read this or not. what got me to read it is the knowledge that, plotwise, it is sad.

and guess what—it fcking is.

throughout reading, i was either MAD or close to tears. i was also grossed out, but mostly, i was sad. it IS hentai, but it is more than that. it is reality. it is real. it is the truth of some people in this fcked up world. the truth that doesn't bother most men because their kinds are usually the perpetrators. yes, this reality also happens to men, but in a country like JPN, we all ... know the harsh reality of most women.

and, i cannot believe the people who took this story lightly and made it a joke. what the fck is wrong with them to make memes out of it?! i swear those people are fcking disgusting.

i hope readers won't take this story lightly anymore. nobody knows who will experience/experiences/experienced the same sht saki did. i hope sht like this stops.

i'm rating it 10 just for saki and the angels she had. i'll probably edit it in the future, tho.

I ain't gonna lie i read this because of all the stuff i heard about it. I'm full with mixed feelings like I'm cringing so much trying to read it I'm also trying my hardest to distinguish it from reality so i don't get all hung up on it wich didn't really work. It lowkey made me feel sick, because its an real life problem to and the reality just hit me with it and its fucked up really anyways its one of the best doujins in terms of the reality check you get hit with while your reading it.

I don't recommend this manga only ... to the people who have a bad stomache or are bad with keeping real life and manga seperated cause it might give you some sleepless nights and really sick.

i liked it but then again i read it in 2019-ish also im writing this during an all nighter at 6 in the morning so… but regardless i enjoyed how horrifying and realtable the beginning was

Henshin is an interesting take on the hentai genre, or so people say. It is about a girl's life being transformed by sex and drugs, (the manga calls this her "Metamorphosis" the book's name). Her fall is told in a tragic but realistic way that doesn't make the girl look outright stupid. However, it still does fall under the same tropes of most hentai with sex scenes being stretched waaaaay out for the pleasure of the reader. The story that was told in seven chapters probably could have been told in three. Read this if Punpun is likable but lacked more sex. Tell people, "It's ... for the plot"

This didn't phase me a bit. Idk why this is so infamous, I've seen much more f-ed up stuff than this, at least physically. It's horrible what happened to her but, like I said, I've seen worse.

I'd brand this a gateway manga into the more f-ed up stuff. It's too famous, meaning it isn't as horrible as it could have been. At least in my opinion, though I have seen so much of this stuff I may be numb towards it.

I'm not recommending this, obviously, but do read it through if you actually decide to do it, I think one has to experience it whole ... to create a valid opinion.

Not good, The manga is fine? a little depressing, most of the time I was just skipping scenes, but other people do other "stuff", well whatever what suits you. So basically this girl named Saki is undergoing changes in her life, she meets up with a guy in a shop later on they do some stuff, and she quote on quote "loves him". The guy's a drug addict, his personality makes up for it. I don't recommend reading this it's kind of disgusting. But to it's credit I thought it was going to be a lot worse. But it is fine, it's just hentai, nothing ... more nothing less.

Ok, when you first read this you will think like this is one of those f*cked up hentai Manga. That was what I thought at first, I didn't fap to it at all cause I just don't, when I find this kind of hentai Manga I'm just like, "Ok definitely gonna either be a sad ending or just screwed up ending.

When I started first, I just read it, to me it was jist plain f*cked up, but when reached chapter 6, I just couldn't stop sighing, the girl was just so innocent at first, but she was to naive, letting the ... people around her corrupt her, ruin her.

When I reached chapter 7 that was when I started feeling like "ShindoL your storylines are f*cked up"

As I progressed into the chapter, I just felt like this was sad, and when I was done reading the entire series I was like "at least there was a somewhat happy ending"

To me I just hope that Saki's child won't get corrupted.

*Be warned, Spoilers Below*

I was warned about this. I knew the reputation this manga had, as one of the most fucked-up hentai out there. But, alas, my curiosity overtook my good sense. I got my business done before, in a vain attempt to have some sort of clarity about me for this descent, and, finally, I sat down and read the damn thing.

I should have listened. 2 hours of my life, spent watching a poor, lonely, naïve girl get sexually, emotionally, and physically abused. There are no good people in this story, apart from Saki, the MC. The world Saki lives in is chock ... full of child rapists (keep in mind that Saki is 15), neglectful parents, or psychopathic teenagers. The only people who could be said to take even the smallest bit of pity on Saki are the homeless people, and even that's only after they rape her as well.

The Art in this is the most deserving of praise, in my opinion. Shindo L, evidently, is a great artist, but this works against the manga in numerous places, as it makes the already brutal subject matter worse in the way its portrayed. These drug fueled sex scenes are very well done, mind you, but when you think about it for more than a second you begin to realize that this art probably deserves a better, less rape-y story.

The Story of this manga is as such: A lonely girl begins high school, and decides to change her appearance in an attempt to attract more attention and maybe get some actual friends. This works, to a certain extent, as her classmates actually reach out and invite her to hang out with them. After this hangout session, Saki is hit on by an older guy, who promptly takes her to a karaoke bar, gives her LSD, and then rapes her. He then offers to be her boyfriend, which Saki accepts, and leaves. Back at school, some of Saki's friends suggest that she should, in essence, lend herself to older men to keep them company. She does this, and is immediately asked for sex by this (frankly gross looking) old man in exchange for a large amount of cash. She accepts, though she feels bad about technically cheating on her boyfriend. She returns home late, almost tells her mom what happened, and goes to bed. She continues to do this, but as this continues, word spreads. The rumors eventually reach her male classmates, and they start sexually harassing and raping her. Her friends don't see this, but see that she is gaining attention from the boys, and they grow to resent her. Saki continues to see her boyfriend, and they do drugs and have sex. Things go from bad to worse when these rumors reach her Dad. One night, her Dad stumbles into her room, confronts her, and then rapes her. This goes on for a little while until her Mom finds out, calls her a "Vile seductress", refuses to listen to what Saki has to say, and kicks her to the curb. Saki goes to live with her boyfriend, more drugged up sex happens. Eventually, Saki and her boyfriend go to a bar. The bartender, apparently her Boyfriends' dealer, gives them cocaine. Saki tries this and just about loses her shit, and literally pisses herself. Whilst that happens, The Dealer tells her boyfriend that he owes, like, 8 million yen. Saki regains control of herself, and offers to help pay this. There's a time skip, Saki is now a full fledged prostitute. She returns to the first old man, who calls her worthless, and tells her to stop seeing her boyfriend (which may be the soundest advice she gets throughout the entire story). She ignores this, telling him that her Boyfriend loves her, and she leaves. later, she goes to the bar by herself in order to drop off the money, and get a fix. The Dealer gives her a choice: She can keep the money, or she can take the coke. She takes the Coke. Her boyfriend finds out, dumps her, and she becomes homeless. She walks around for a while, before stopping in a park, where she is accosted by to homeless men. They have sex, and take Saki back to their cardboard box. They feed her, it is reveled that she might be pregnant, another time skip happens. Saki is reveled to be full on pregnant, and, while storing some money in a locker, a group of teenagers comes upon her. They beat her, stomping on her stomach and just brutalizing her in general, and rob her. Saki crawls to the bathroom, puts her broken pair of glasses on, and smiles at herself in the mirror. She does the last of her drugs all at once, And she imagines a life with her daughter years in the future. The book ends with a picture of her shattered glasses.

The story is rather bare bones, and, as previously stated, everyone is terrible. Her boyfriend takes advantage of her, drugs her, uses her for his own ends, and then abandons her. Her classmates, upon hearing rumors, immediately begin harassing her. Her father literally rapes her, then proceeds to stand by as his wife throws her out. Her friends abandon her. She is brutalized by random teenagers. The people who are nicest to her are only nice to her after they have sex. All in all, shits fucked.

The characters are also pretty basic. The only one who gets any character development is Saki, and that is limited to her loneliness, her naivety, and her desire to have friends. Everyone else is a bog standard jerk, showing no signs of empathy or caring for this poor girl.

I did not enjoy this, though I can't say that it was the worst. Once I began reading, I found that I couldn't stop. It was like watching a car crash happen, for whatever reason, I had to see it through to the end.

How does this do as porn? Not great. If you can detach the art from the story, and if you are into Ugly Bastard, you could feasibly do something with this. Otherwise, don't.

all in all, 6/10. The story is meh, the art deserves better, Saki is the only likeable character, Go read the alternate universe comic where the guys from JoJo save the day.

My god this manga deserves its reputation. What a sad tale that is only made even sadder knowing this might've happened to someone in the real world.

The manga does a great job at showing how hanging round people who are bad influences can ruin your life. It also does a great job at showing how awful drug addiction, prostitution and "slut culture" can be. It all started because she wanted to be less mundane and more noticed by the "cool" kids only for them to spiral her into her demise. Honestly would've been better if she remained that way in the beginning.

The only reason ... I've scored it so low is because it's just a generic hentai manga with a tragic demise story behind it. The sex scenes are just gross in my opinion and although the first sex scene was entertaining (especially with the way they censored the dicks) it got stale really quickly. It got to the point where I just skipped past them towards the end.

Also how the fuck does she get horny over everything!? And how is she tight despite getting fucked a lot? Is she a sexual anomaly or something?
And how come every guy who she encounters is some sex pest who wants to have sex with her? That's just incredibly unrealistic.

Anyway it really disturbed and disgusted me which is good as I think that was the intention. More than deserves its reputation and god damn it shook me!

Was surfing a vid site and saw a couple references to this series one right after the other, coincidentally, and one of the comments on it sounded perhaps up my alley, so I checked it out in one sitting.

And was thinking to myself while, I guess, about half-way in:: {~" You know, if this was taught in school as a part of sexEd, I'm sure it would do wonders well-beyond any superficial verbal warning about staying away from suspicious people and drugs and staying clean until after sufficient maturity. "~} Just my inner ... thoughts.

Personally, unlike other smut series I've come across, the story feels realistic; the probability of all of those things coming together upon one person are perhaps rare, but: it is within realism, that it is almost relatable. Not on my own personal life, but like: sympathetically: I could see that happening to someone, and I may even know some people that ended up that way.

Personally, I found it funny enough to truly 'lol' while reading it. Too jaded to have the intended(?) effect, it would seem. It felt more like an educational life-lesson.
The ending was like:: {~" yay for welfare-states "~}; felt like a cop out, but: *meh*, again: somewhat realistic.

Moral of the Story:: Do not trust anyone.

If you are new to smut-manga or life:: you'd probably enjoy it more and learn some valuable life-lessons in the process. And there is at least 1 or 2 decent sexEd-technique(s) worth learning in the content.


If you do not know much about the darkness of the world, I could see someone assuming this is not realistic... but: the most unrealistic thing I found was that generally: {a good dealer does not do their own product}, however: that doesn't mean there are no bad dealers. Which is why it is still realistic. Or just because one's own life experiences were lovely so far: doesn't mean it is like that for everyone, and everyone's biology is slightly different, so it is naïve to assume no one is actually like that. The world is dark, and stuff of this sort does happen. Even if one does not like it personally: it is still decently depicting some darker sides of urban-life.
