I don't really know what to say other than I am impressed in the most dumb founded way with Idea Factory and their "ideas" during this period. And I can't emphasize this enough with this tittle. From the same creators responsible dubbed "the worst anime ever," Mar of Destruction comes their first draft. Yes fun fact, Mars of Destruction came out during 2005 while Tenkuu Danzato Skelter Heaven came six months before it during 2004. Yes, you read that right, Idea Factory was already doing OVA tie in's for games before these two "wonderful tittle's" like Generation of Chaos, Spectral Force & Gakuentoshi Varanoir Joukan read more

“All it takes is one bad day to reduce the sanest man alive to lunacy. That's how far the world is from where I am. Just one bad day.”

― Alan Moore , Batman: The Killing Joke

...well, in this case it took a couple of passing years but the point still stands.

'Beautiful World' is a music video directed by Tsurumaki Kazuya and sung by Utada Hikaru.

The Song in question is based on the ending theme for Rebuild of Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. As for the video itself, it uses clips from the first 3 movies of the rebuild franchise. It uses city scenery along side cuts to stills of the characters. The characters themselves are juxtaposed with those same buildings and finally quick cuts to scenes of the movie. These cuts involve most of the main cast members and their interaction around Shinj. Presumably used to link with the music's lyrics as to read more

Buta (Anime) add (All reviews)
Buta, a wealthy boy is separated from his family and is captured for his treasure. Through some silly occurrences, a samurai working with the pirates were forced to make a deal with the said kid to retrieve a treasure map.

Similar to Sword of the Stranger in terms of the relationship between boy and samurai fighting off against their fate but with Human like Animal Characters. Potential is there but for me there just isn't much to go on in terms of the overall message.

Seems mixed in theme but what can you do with just 24 minutes for a story like that. In terms read more

Li'l Spider-Girl, the story about a shopkeeper, Suzuri of Kokumondou who sell historic books and Mizuki, granddaughter of said land. Both investigate a sealed book that released a young spider demon.

The story itself has potential because of the simple set up but sticks to the basic plot of the said demon and its interaction with our characters. A good bit of humor with a bright and expressive character that does this short favor but as a whole, doesn't deviate much.

The animation was quality in a lot of respects in terms of fluidity and style. The animation is fluid with the theme and fits read more

Puka Puka Juju, a tale of a young daughter wanting to go to the beach with her father but can't because of work obligations.

Effective is a word I would use because it covers the bases of family, creativity, and imagination from a child's perspective. Which links to animation, colorful and full of life.

It is vibrant and works with the themes of the plot and the desires of the characters. Which, again, contrast well with the imagination part of the child's mind with how each character must overcome said idea.

As a whole, it is the strongest of the 4 shorts of 2011 in terms read more

A simple story about bullying and being an observer to said action. The message was straight forward, which is effective but is all it amounts too.

Shiranpuri, aesthetically it is visually simple yet expressive. Especially with the sound department as well and how said visuals enhance them. Like this one for that.

But other than that it plays it really safe which means it doesn't develop past that point. Potential is there but is washed because it doesn't go much or amount to much more. Is it pointless, no, but because of said stagnation, no other themes are expanded on.

For Romance shojo style with a bit of slice of life manga, the series as a whole has been mixed for me personally. A good start with a clear establishment of a set relationship is always a fun read. Especially the aspects of being in relationships and the struggles with it. And this was for the first 10 chapters. The rest, well mixed. The main two leads were, for me great at the start. Getting their feelings across straight with the Male lead having the past problem while the female lead accepting those problems and moving on together.

Then Marui came along. Look, I get it. read more

I don't even know how to start this one other than a 1/10 is mercy compared to what I just witnessed. THERE WILL BE SPOILERS, BUT HONESTLY, DO YOU EVEN CARE.

Worst shows of our generation such as Mar of destruction? Pupa? Glasslip? Green Green? At least they have the structure of some sort.

Super Child is definitely... something that is challenging and actively trying to make the audience hate every step of the way. Let's just say that this piece of.... work, no this... thing will give individuals of what 1/10 looks like or what a 0-star rating looks like. Because if an individual has been read more
