In these shoujos, the girl and the guy both have very different appearances and personalities in school or public places than they do at home or in private and they get to know each other in both settings by accident. So they share a secret side of themselves with each other that others don't know about.

A girl's "true" personality accidentally becomes known to a boy at their school.

The whole 'perfect at school, messy at home' plot is very much like Hotaru no Hikari except that the latter is set in the protagonist's 20's in a workplace environment. I can't believe no one's mentioned this one!! But yeah, very, very similar lead girls.

Both female protagonists have a side, personality and image they don't want people at school to see.

Similar humor and artwork. Cute protagonists.

Romance and drama. If you're looking for either or both, then these two series may be something to think about. Switch Girl and Mairunovich crafts relationship dynamics between its main leads. Throughout their story, we see how much the main female characters change both physically and mentally. It offers an experience of uouth with a lot of common adolescences themes we may encounter in our society. Recommended for fans who are interested in rom-com.

The similar thing between these two manga is that girl hides their true self for a reason or another.

They have similar stories about being a princes/ss reputation at a school one reason or another. In both can enjoy good art and funny stories.

The stories have similar humor

Both female leads are hiding who they really are from their peers until an encounter with a new guy causes them to show their true selves. Romance ensues. Switch girl is much more comedic while Sekirara ni Kiss is more serious.

Girls hidden their true face and hobbies socially, but at home they are themselfs.

It's funny how some characters can maintain their dual personalities. For both series, there's a main female protagonist that can "switch" on and off as if they become a totally different person. If you enjoy fiction that balances a character at different locations (home/school), then these two manga series are differently for you. Just note that Switch Girl focuses more on drama while Himouto! Umaru-chan adapts more of a slice of life/comedy hybrid.

The girl in this manga is similar to how she works hard to be perfect.

Both girls fall in love with a boy that doesn't stand out much.

Both male protagonists have a hatred towards women due to an also similar past regarding their family relationships.

These titles are really similar. The characters from both manga have dual personalities & somehow they have to hide it to prevent humiliation.

Ah the duality of the high school feminine form. As Usa (from Bokura wa Minna Kawaisou) once said rocking to himself, "What am I supposed to believe? Makeup... makeup is scary." That manta is hammered home in both "Switch Girl!!" and "Hoshino, Me wo Tsubutte.?", where the yin/yang of the high school female duality is expressed via the magic of makeup that allows the female protagonists of both series to create a new persona that transforms them into the star they believe they need to be.

When I read Love so Life the main protagonist Matsunaga immediately reminded me of Swith girl, since he also goes into onoff mode on outside he is amazing TV announcer, but once he comes home is completely useless and dead tired. But I guess that's all that there is to similarity between these two, of course both are romance comedies that leave you wanting more.

Both feature characters that pretend to be something or someone they are not.

In both series, the main character feels that her personal self isn't good enough for school, so spends lots of time on her appearance to make herself feel better and more popular. While at home, they are far from the persona they project at school. The male leads find out their real identity, and well...it goes from there.

(1st oneshot of kara no shounen) both have charcters that hide their true identity at home, from friends at school. both have a friend of the opposite gender who knows or finds out about their true identity. both main characters are supermarket sale fanatics.

These shoujos have somewhat similar art and humor. The situations are different but sometimes the characters, especially some of the more side characters remind me of each other, both are good rom-coms - if you are looking for fun romances that are exclusive - these both fit the bill. The girls antics and fashion are very entertaining. So if you like Switch Girl! and are looking for another comedy try Galism.
