The class is changing seats and Momoka got stuck sitting by Narumi, the weird kid in the class. He has long hair that covers his eyes, he doesn't talk much and when he does he is kind off scary, and a circle of rumors follows him everywhere he goes. But is Narumi really a weird boy? Or is he just misunderstood? what kind of pure love could result from this...?

NAMIDA USAGI - SEIFUKU NO KATAOMOI was amazing! i loved it! the love was so pure and cute! it wasnt like others where the guy harasses her or assaults her. also they were so cute together! there wasnt any love rivals which i was thankful for because every love manga usually has them and it gets tiring and old after a while. i really cried while reading this. it was so sad towards the end. i really hope this manga isnt finished because i want to know what happens!!!
Namida Usagi is a manga that starts out in the protagonist, Momoka's, middle school years and her meeting with Narumi before moving on to high school. When I first started this manga, I kind of rushed through the middle school part because I wanted to get to their high school years. Unfortunately, the story spirals out of control soon after the start of high school.
I would say the first 11 chapters of the story are the best so far. Surprisingly, the time they spent in middle school was not only cute, but also showed the personalities of the two main characters beautifully. The interactions between Momoka and Narumi are sweet, and the romance is definitely there. Momoka and Narumi are two people who unexpectedly become friends, have similar interests, and are kind to one another. They had a fantastic relationship.
However, after the 11th chapter, the mangaka chose to push the plot down a path I'm not sure it should have gone. The story exploded with all of the nonsensical drama and angst filled into it. And the best part of the story, the sweet interactions between Narumi and Momoka, became practically nonexistent due to all of the angst. It's not even good angst (read Lovely Complex chapters 16 through 25 for good angst). And somehow, even after all of the angst and drama goes away, poor Momoka is too traumatized by it (who can blame her?) to be a normal girl in a normal relationship. She, regrettably, becomes incredibly insecure and really drags the story down.
I will continue reading Namida Usagi in hope that it gets better. For now, though (as of 26 chapters), I would recommend stopping after the 11th chapter.read more
