Both heroines are quite similar to each other and the story line to both mangas are cheesy and cute! :)

Somehow, the story has an identical feel to it. Even though they're both seemingly "cliché" (And I hate cliché) once you start reading it you can't stop. It's actually really interesting. The main characters are superb in both stories and the graphics are also both really good.

When it comes to romance, both series has similar themes. The main character (opposite genders though) are highly popular among their classmates because of their looks. However, they get involved in a relationship with a plain person. Both series explores that relationship to various degrees that really brings out their persona. There is a good amount of drama that is present as well. While Hibi Chouchou has mostly comedy, Suki tte Li na yo does deal with some mature themes.

main characters are somehow very similar : girls have really same cold personality and there are black haired guys falling in love with them, trying to melt girls icy heart ( well at least they are prodigies in that :DDD )

Both manga are telling the story of love, with the guy, who is trying his best to keep a girl from school his girlfriend. She is new in 'that things' and very shy so she is learning just little by little how to treat good her new boyfriend.

Girl with no friends, the most quiet and slow is taken interest from the coolest guy in school. Her school ( real ) life begin only thanks to him. Male MC is ready to do everything to keep the MC girl by his side.
reportRecommended by Shadake
Both manga are shoujos with female MCs that start out isolated from their classmates. Both MCs think they don't need friends in their lives and tend to speak/act rougher than their other female classmates. Furthermore the main male MCs in both mangas seem relaxed and carefree in comparison.

Both series involves a plain looking girl falling in love with a very popular guy. They also get into countless misunderstandings in a typical school life setting. Both also have ecchi scenes and drama.

Character traits are similar along with situations the characters are put in. Both of these manga have nice arts and a captivating stories. Like Bokura ga Ita, in Sukitte Ii na yo the main characters relationship is formed at the begging of the series. Both Bokura ga Ita and Sukitte Ii na are focusing not really how the main characters get together but the things they face in their relationship which makes their love stronger. PS: If you love Bokura ga Ita, then Sukitte Ii na yo is a manga for you to read. It's not exactly like Bokura ga Ita(and although I love Bokura ga  read more

In both series, we have a main female character who undergoes through changes. While their pacing contrasts differently, both series emphasizes on their appeal to interact with others; in particular the guys they encounter. Both series has an handsome main lead that others adore although they should particular interest in the main female protagonist. There is obvious romance that develops as their story progresses as well. Do note that Suki tte Ii na yo focuses more on drama while Watashi ga Motete Dousunda leans towards more comedy.

Both start out with the guy teaching the girl about love but later the girl is teaching the guy how to love, the boys both start out as kinda flirtasious, and both female leads are shy and inexperienced, also there's a weird kiss by the guy in the first chapter.

Plot isn't similar, but story centers around Yamato's little sister grown up REALLY GOOD!!

these two mangas are very similar. fl and ml reminded me of each other. the fl have both "given up" on love life or friends until they meet the popular nice guy from school. both are also set in high school

This 2 story have an Female Lead that is unpopular and haven't experience love, then they meet with a popular boy and became a couple. Both show the female lead experience something new called "love".

Popular guy with unpopular girl - Shujinkou Nikki is more light-hearted and fluffy though

Character A refers to Mei and Sayama while Character B refers to Yamato and Saikawa: -Character A makes a bad impression on character B by being mean and that bad impression leads to character B being interested in character A -Character B is popular with other girls. -They actually get together and the manga explores their relationship -Other characters have their own problems which are explored -Both have a character that acts as a love interest to steal character A. These characters have a problem with sincerity and generally has a very similar personality Overall these mangas have similar plots and the general atmosphere is the same.

Both manga series have the romance element that are expressed in a more realistic or mature way. In other words, both manga rises above the typical fanservice and focuses more on realistic romance. Both manga series does have comedy and drama. Both manga series protagonist eventually takes a liking into the main female protagonist after certain circumstances. Both manga are enjoyable for those who some realistic drama.

The protagonist of both stories is a reclusive girl who doesn't have any friends because of a scarring childhood incident. She meets someone who opens her world, and she begins to develop strong friendships with good people. The girls have to deal with school, home problems, and frenemies. Also, both dabble in the fashion/acting world.

The art styles are both really different and gorgeous. The characters are lovable. The writing is clever and the plot isn't cheesy.

Both series involves a plain looking girl falling in love with a very popular guy. Suki tte Ii na yo. carries a more serious tone while having some borderline smut scenes, Koisuru Mitsuba carries a lighter and cuter tone.
reportRecommended by Roth
The female leads are both 'indifferent' with the guy in the beginning but falls for him eventually :P Both male leads are also popular

The story isn't like InuYasha but i can say that the characters are like the characters from InuYasha. Mei have to be InuYasha because they both had bad childhood and they share the same feelings. The inside of Mei and InuYasha are wounded because they are cold to other people, and they have bad childhood and bad memorys that they don't want to remember but when Yamato and Kagome comes into their life they began to heal their wounds in their hearts, i think that InuYasha have the same feelings for Mei even though she's not half demon but they have the same childhood  read more

Popular playboy falls for a girl who's usually quiet and a loner.
reportRecommended by BlasianAngel
both are about lonely girls who eventually open up to their surrounds and make friends, due to the help of a cute boy

The main person was all by herself before to meet a group of friends. They change theirs life and herself as well by this meeting. Both speak about the true hiding personality than all people have, had, will have.
reportRecommended by Elie
Maria like Mei could be branded as anti-social. The two of them have similar problems at school, with friends etc. And they have someone who cheers them.
reportRecommended by Una
Both heroines are frank, emotionally-strong individuals who really have no interest in finding love at the beginning of the story....but it just sort of happens.
reportRecommended by Breezie-D
Both are about girls that never had neither a boyfriend or friends, but that suddenly change when she meets a hot guy and fall in love with them. Both great read, with good characters, nice comedy and nice romance.
reportRecommended by biakudryavka
They're alike in their realistic portray of human relatonships and emotions, and the will to change. Sukitte Ii na yo does not center on weight loss, but features a minor character who's had some issues with it.
reportRecommended by Miss-Saori
This manga it's similar in how the female protagonist change herself from beeing a loner to a nice beautiful and cheerful girl. Both the boy and the girl are cute and funny.

Tachibana and Kira (Mars) are both secluded and introverts. Kurosawa and Rei (Mars) are both popular, talkative and liked by everyone in their entourage. Tachibana is honest (read explosive) with her feelings like Rei though, and Kurosawa lacks confidence that he is strong mentally much like Kira. The feel of their relationship as well as the pace of the story are very much alike. If you like one, chances are you'll like the other.

I don't really know, but i have the same felling when i'm reading them. Enjoy reading manga.

Haruna and Mei remind me of each other.. They both have a calm personality, and sometimes they have the same expressions. If you really liked one of the main lead characters, then you'd like the other.
reportRecommended by deadaccount0000
They are both about a cool popular boy who likes an unpopular girl. In 'Sukitte li na yo' the girl is a loner and in 'kimi ni moete Ii desu ka?' the girl is an otaku. Both couple experience different types of problems along the way. They both have an original art style though Sukitte li na yo is longer and, in my opinion, better.
reportRecommended by aracor1
The characters personalities are almost exactly the same (later on in sukitte ii na yo) but sukitte ii na yo has smut

it's a really cute story where the male lead also tries things to the girl he likes. A plain girl x popular guy story (:
