In both mangas you have one girl with no friends and no boyfriend meet with the school's most popular guy. This meeting triggers the main character to make more friends. So their high school story begins.

Both manga center around female leads that start out being loners, having low self-esteem, and are difficult to approach. However, that all changes when the most popular boy in the school becomes interested in their quirkiness.
I consider these two manga series to be classic shoujos for their style of storytelling. The main male protagonist is a outgoing guy and popular with his classmates. On the other hand, there's the shy girl that no one really notices, or otherwise people tend to avoid. Then, fate ties them together one day and they become friends. As both series progresses, a relationship develops that blooms into other direction that the main girl never thought would before. There is credible amount of comedy, drama, and romance in both series. If you're into shoujo, I would recommend these two series as examples of the medium.
A loner girl goes out with the 'popular' guy and ends up making more friends and being more social facing high school relationship problems and learning about other stuff as well.
They both have a similar feel.
Both these stories feature an unpopular girl as the main character, and the story of how they change through the most popular guys in school, and how they make friends and fall in love.
The only difference is that the girl in Kimi Ni Todoke wants to be liked, whereas as the girl in Sukitte Ii na yo would rather not get involved with others (at first that is).
Though Kimi ni Todoke is more light-hearted than Sukitte Ii na yo.
If you read one, I'm sure you'll enjoy the other.

both series have a girl that seems unapproachable and is unable to make friends. However, after a particular guy approaches her, she begins to change, make friends and has more self-confidence.
- Both these mangas have a female protagonist who isn't your typical for shoujo manga, but both are lovable and like people dispite of all that has happened to them
- Both fall in love with the most popular guy in school dispite not knowing at the beginning
- Both mangas explore the love relashionships secondary characters
- Both mangas get more into the relashionship part than most shoujo mangas (witch is a plus, it doesn't end with just an "i love you")

Both manga feature an unpopular and friendless female lead who is lowkey cute and incredibly caring get together with a very popular and beautiful male. Suki tte Ii na yo has a lot more f*cking in its plot, and the romances move and develop more quickly than those in Kimi ni Todoke. Overall if you liked one you'll probably like the other.
The manga have different airs about them when it comes to maturity level but both focus on the long term relationships of the main couple and have somewhat similar drama (ie love rivals). I'd say the biggest reason I recommend this is because both manga also take a good chunk of its time to build up the 'support' characters and their romantic lives making it a multi layered story.
