| Ye, this episode definitely wanted to set up Yousuke and Hana for some alone time at the festival. Some awkward moments aside, I wish they didnt' get interrupted by Yousuke's classmates. That new girl Sakuya has a lot of confidence, almost like a foil character compared to Hana. Wonder how long she'll be around in this show. |

| Tabata taking the initiative to actually go alone with Ueno to the festival was great development on her end. Ueno also standing up for her was a good moment. Saya seems like a nice friend to have, really having fun with this one. |
| Finally we are getting somewhere. I guess. But he basically said that he is in love with her. I guess. But if we are getting a confession at the end of the season I would be happy. Unless they do a second season, then it can wait. But I don't really see that happening. |

| The girl from the OP finally joined the show, she seems fun but I was hoping for an ally instead of another love rival but it seems she is going to be not just a rival for Tabata but also competing with Uguisudani for Tetsuo. |
| That post-ED segment was one of the best scenes of this show so far, especially the moment when Sayaka started to look unsure of what she's doing and then in the very last frame we understood why. |

Sae Ootsuka voices Tae Hanazono in Bang Dream, seemed such a coincidence to me given that there’s nobody listed for Sayaka yet. Probably not her tho, she does more music than voice work.

| Last week of August means we'll be getting a lot of fireworks episodes this week, and this was a pretty good one. Ueno realising that Tabata is the cutest girl is pretty huge and defending her in front of his old school friends was pretty cool. What was that guy's problem? Who would ever go up to a friend on a date, especially one you haven't seen in a while, and say that he could get a cuter girl? Wouldn't have been against a good punch happening in that situation. Otsuka is a great addition. She seems like the usual positive, energetic gyaru...but seems to be a little too used to nasty comments from other girls. I'm hoping she's going to be fully on Tabata's side, as it would be nice if she could have a good female friend. |

| Probably one of my favorite episodes for this anime. I’m glad Tabata had her episodes after the fiasco she dealt with the previous episode. Ueno seems to sorting his feelings out with Tabata a bit better now. Good to see some growth. We have a new character being introduced now and I think she’ll be someone to assist Tabata in her growth. At least that’s what I’m hoping for, especially after the bathroom scene. |

| I'm a bit confused with the new girl... When they found out Tabata was the one who went to watch fireworks with Ueno it sounded like she outright said Ueno likes Tabata (yet there wasn't really a reaction from the other characters which makes me question if the subs were wrong)....but within the same monologue said Tabata couldn't possibly be his girlfriend. Was that a mistranslation??? I also don't quite understand....does she actually NOT want to be paired up with Ueno...cuz the girls in the bathroom called her "easy" and she seemed upset at that. Totally confused on whether she's pro Ueno x Tabata or against. EDIT: ok I repeatedly rewatched it again ignoring the subs...there definitely was something odd about it...because the way I interpreted the dialogue was... "Oh, Ueno doesn't have a girlfriend after all" "Because if there is such a girl...they must be very great!" which doesn't really solidify if she's for or against Ueno x Tabata but I guess we'll see.... |

@GrumbleDango Tabata isnt in the group chat with them,she only shared her line with Ueno.Also why Uguisudani asked her where she got his number.

| The stars aligned for Tabata and Ueno to be alone at the festival. It was very sweet to see how Ueno sees Tabata as the prettiest girl, and even shut down his old high school friend who called her ugly. Finally, the gyaru made her debut, and it looks like she's going to be a great friend to Tabata. My intuition tells me she'll end up paired with Shinbashi. I really liked how Saya remembered the moment when Tabata intervened to stop the girls from gossiping about her, and she also remembered seeing Ueno holding Tabata's hand at the festival. So, in return for Tabata's kindness in the bathroom, Saya interrupted the conversation and admitted that she was the cause of the misunderstanding. She also said that whoever ends up being Ueno's girlfriend must be a good person, knowing full well that Ueno likes Tabata. I'm still a little confused about the guy who saw Tabata and Ueno at the festival, as he's the same guy who spoke badly about Tabata in the flashback. |

| The Summer festival is around the corner, though everyone taps out on their own plans, leaving him alone with just Hana. Of course, it'd be weird for Ueno thinking he's on the receptive front, and seeing Hana in her yukata and being relieved that she doesn't find it weird, the airheaded young man is just that, even almost spoiling a potential friend's private date. Also, the coincidental chance of Ueno meeting his junior high classmates, which inevitably shows that his love for Hana runs deep amidst his caring for her. The posthumous school term sees an old friend of Ueno and Gotanda's introduction as a transfer student: the gal of Sayaka Otsuka, and it doesn't take long for the rumours to spread around the school. Of course, Shinbashi would want any chance to get to know Ueno's girlfriend, and bubbly as Saya can be, it's going to be quite the nervousness to avoid having her called out amidst everyone having their own perceptions. The thing is, as much as Saya's extroverted network does provide intel for that, Keisuke just broke all constraint and revealed to them point-blank that Hana's the aforementioned girl, though Saya sees this as something great than a detriment. Saya putting makeup on Hana...it's not going so well, ain't it? In fact, she just made Hana more pretty than ever. What a good friend. |
