Can’t be a school anime if it doesn't have a cultural festival, or anyway, they told us they were preparing for it since the last two-three episodes, so yeah it was coming either way. The basic stuff with maid cafe and all, which again, unsurprisingly, made Taiki realise how much she loves and likes Chinatsu aside, at this point it just seems like Chinatsu is the only heroine around. I mean Hina confessed and all I agree, which if we think rationally, should’ve got the deal done, but yeah, in fact it didn’t do nothing for her in the end.

It’s again Chinatsu and Taiki having their moments, a LOT of btw. Attending the band in maid outfit was a W move from Chinatsu tho. Can’t say how difficult it must have been for both her and Taiki to sneak around and see the performance together lol. She must have said “I wanted to spend time together” or something along the lines, but okay they want to delay the inevitable, so of course, they’ll try to keep us hanging. Guy is living the life tho, when all is said and done, I mean now he has to play the Prince with Hina(who btw was looking really cute in that snow white outfit), just because…

… he happened to be there, lol. A consolation prize to Hina, but okay, it works I guess.

Cultural festival time! HINA LOOKS SO PRETTY AS SNOW WHITE OH MY GOD!! Taiki tried being nonchalant that boy know he smiling like a mf on the inside 😂 this was such a nice episode.

Maid Chinatsu omg she’s so adorable! S/O Nagisa for defending her from the guys tryna chat her up lol.

The concert date with Chinatsu and Taiki was so cute. I love all the chibi faces they made during it. Of course Taiki couldn’t hear why Chinatsu invited him tho 🤦🏽‍♂️ anime logic. I really wanna know what she said!

And that’s some tremendous ordeal to befall Taiki for sure! Taking over as the prince in the play?? How’s he gonna handle the kiss with Hina? We love some good drama. Can’t wait for next ep.

HERE COMES THE PRINCE

Well now that the first part of the cultural festival is successfully behind us, and it is one which Taiki and Chinatsu will never forget :), i cant wait to see the rest of it ... you know, the part where Hina is gonna have her world be crushed even more than it already is.

@Softhenic03 NGL i already expected the main lead to get injured and taiki getting the main role as it is very common in romance play genre

Chinatsu basically asking Taiki on a Psudo Date to see the band preform was awesome!
Even Taiki asking "Hey why did you invite me?" I think is a HUGE moment for him. I feel like we never see any sort of aggressiveness like this from Male leads in these types of Anime.

Predictable AF ending especially when He told Chinatsu he wasn't going to be in the show. Felt like that was the first step to Taiki playing the prince.

But Chinatsu is going to have a Front row seat to see the Prince Potentially Kiss the Princess to wake her up?!?!??!

Next week about to be SUPER interesting!

The 2nd song from band that called "Blues Drive", who is the original singer? I can't find

the first song "Nagisa" from Spitz

I do wonder what Chinatsu said to Taiki? I don't think it was anything too serious, but you never know, and I am glad they spent time together.

So now Taiki gonna play the prince? this is gonna be so interesting lol, especially with Chinatsu watching.

Saw the ending coming a mile away. I’m glad the series remembered to give the destined couple (Chinatsu & Taiki) some development together, but man Hina has to be the most overpowered losing heroine in anime history.

Wow. Hina looks beautiful as Snow White. I'd totally watch a movie where she plays the role. And woah. Chinatsu looks lovely as a maid. I'm glad she actually went ahead and became a waitress! Both of the girls looked amazing in this episode.

What the heck did Chinatsu whisper to Taiki in the concert? Did she actually confess? She did say that she liked the music a lot. So, she knew that there would be a time when she could intentionally hide what she said due to the noise. That's so cheeky. I love it.

I knew there would be some drama at this cultural festival. I'm just glad it wasn't something where Taiki would have to choose between spending time with Hina or Chinatsu. That would've been shitty. Instead, after having fun with Chinatsu at the concert Taiki now has to play the Prince to Hina's Snow White! And the audience will be none other than his crush Chinatsu. What a lucky guy! I can't wait to see Chinatsu's reaction next week lol. Assuming Taiki does end up playing the Prince. It's probably more realistic if he takes some other role and a different girl plays the Prince.

@NegativeRei He's using shitty streaming website which has google translate subs (yes - that one with 'Daiki' instead Taiki). He's crying every week about this. And he thinks that Netflix subs are good lol.
Good subs are available day 1, 2-3 hours after episode release. KawaSubs has better typesetting though, so if you are into this stuff, you can wait one or 2 more days. But script-wise they are both great and way better than Netflix.

Hina wearing her Snow White outfit looks incredibly beautiful to my eyes. I love how she had to move away to hide her heavily blushing face after Taiki saw her in her costume. =)

Meanwhile, Chinatsu looked great while wearing her classy maid uniform at her class cafe. Nagisa made sure that anyone asking for Chinatsu's number would get shut down in style. Excellent wingwoman indeed.

This episode was definitely more focused on Chinatsu, as she was able to get Taiki to come to the small, but energetic concert with her. Who knows what her reply to him was during one of the performances, but maybe we'll find out in a future episode, who knows.

Still, we did have time to have one classic trope to make an appearance, where the role of the prince is in jeopardy due to the person due to play that role not being available. Hopefully Taiki fills in this role himself for the upcoming play. I certainly see the play having the odd hiccup, but here's hoping it'll go as smoothly as possible!

Lmao that ending was the most cliche thing ever, why does the main character always get looped into participating in a play they initially weren't gonna take part in...as a character that's gonna have to pretend to kiss the second female lead in front of the first female lead, no less. Well otherwise, it was a good episode. At the start of this anime, I was pretty bored whenever Taichi and Chinatsu had scenes together, but their scenes together in the past few episodes have been pretty cute. Still rooting for the doomed ship more, but eh, Hina deserves better anyways.

Episode was a perfect depiction of a slice of life, instilling elements that feel nostalgic through the set up of the cultural festival. Main character progresses in terms of his relationship, captivating an intense and attentive moment, as they view and plan for their concert gather, which also documents his growth. The episode ends with a hilarious cliff hanger that leaves you both overjoyed due to laughter and eager to see what happens next, will he adopt the role of the prince, and how will him being the prince influence his relationship with Chinatsu and Hina.

@ninka22 Nothing deep, just a personal opinion since I don't care much for Taiki and Hina's the main reason I haven't dropped this show. Hina's knowingly waiting for a guy who won't look her way/likes someone else, so she obviously deserves someone who actually likes her back.

I must be living in a rock, but prior to Makeine, I hadn't seen anyone referring to the loser of a love triangle and related entanglements as a losing heroine.

I KNEW it that "the guy who will do the prince role is not coming due to reasons so MC will take the prince role" will happen. I totally smelled that cliche ever since they announced their play will be Snow White.

Well, this might be as much spotlight as Chinatsu can get because the next episode is Hina’s time to shine. I can already picture the kiss scene with Chinatsu crying in the background. Nah, I’m just kidding. But it would be pretty funny if it actually happens.

@YoAraragi Nex episode there will be no kiss. It's not last Chinatsu spotlight. episode 21 will be Chinatsu focused, episode 23 will have strongest Chinatsu Taiki interactions , very hurt Hina because she will see those Chinatsu Taiki interactions. Ep 24 will have Taiki rejecting Hina and the final nail in Hina ship coffin. Ep 25 Taiki asking Chinatsu out. Next season there will be no triangle. It will be season were Taiki and Chinatsu confess and start dating.

So this culture festival is really going be something for the relationship between those 3. Not only did we get to see maid Chinatsu and her inviting Taiki to see a band while probably telling him that she likes him but now he has to take the prince role in the play Hina is the pricess and they kiss. They won't kiss... right? At least I don't expect them to but... what if they do? Will Chinatus downplay it again or...?

I guess we'll see.

The off-model characters are getting very noticeable and distracting, but the sparks are still flying. A big LOL at the entire concert sequence. Love the late meetup, the untrained singing, and the inability to hear anything slowing down the comm lines.
