If anything, I'm not a "toxic Re:Zero fan" (I only watched the first season years ago), I'm more of a "Toxic MT hater" but this toxic fandom (especially on Twitter) deserves it so...  |

| We already had similar discussion with Araragi recently, so the conclusion is kinda simple and expectable. People who are "fans" are putting less effort on enjoying their own series and explaining how it's good, but put more effort on hating and slandering the other series from similar genre, because they have this weird, deluded misconception ther this is some sort of rivalry and two series of the same genre cannot be good at the same time, despite the fact that both MT and Re:Zero author are good friends. They genuinely believe that the way to success is digging holes under someone, which is idiotic and straight up delusional. I mean, you can just take a look at our favourite lolcow Okaenix as an example. The way how this guy is trying to go out of his way to gaslight (and fail) others that Frieren, MT and any other fantasy series are actually bad, regardless of their widespread critical acclaim, is straight up comedic and desperate, which is why this guy is a lolcow at this point. I knew those attacks will come as soon as "lolimancer" appeared on screen. It was inevitable. |

| Subaru is the far more interesting character. Rudeus is just a very simple isekai protag by comparison. I think a big reason I prefer Subaru is that his antags can't be solod by his power unlike Rudeus who is a ridiculous solo combatent. Subaru also has much more interesting conversations with characters even with antags. Subaru's pride is one of my fav aspects he has. |
