| Brought up Alya's ballet and how she could master the simple folk dance multiple times, then didn't show any dancing. What a disappointing tease. Footloose but no dancing at the end. Alya's backstory makes her a bit petty, but then again there was that one group project in 8th grade on the Silk Road where the other three peopledidn't pull their weight and we got a mediocre score. So she's just like me fr fr. It turns out Kuze knows every Russian speaking woman in Japan. Masha's not as pretty as Alya's but she's still cute, is fun, and doesn't seem as high maintenance. Might be Team Masha now. |
| Oh, so it was Alya's sister back then, that's why the eyes are so similar. And we also saw that his parents divorced and that's why he and his sister usually stay at different places. The first part was quite generic this time though and not that funny. You can't just show me Yuki in episode 2 and then have her absent for 99% of episode 3 like that... |
| The highlight of this episode for me was Masha, she worked for me when reading, but they really brought out all of her charm in this adaptation, she was so adorable to see, and they make it even more direct here, that she is connected to Masachika, it should be obvious but I don't want to spoil either way. Masha is such a rascal, testing him with Russian right at the start... That scene where he takes Alisa off to dance was worth of a screenshot to save as an wallpaper, beautiful. | Alya's such a hardworking gal. I'm glad Masachika is there to offer a different perspective and take some of that pressure off. Mariya instantly calling out the rom-com tropes is great. She wants that relationship to progress stat! |

| Aww that was actually a really sweat episode, understanding Alya's backstory this early on i think was a good move since it can explain a lot about her character, personality and importantly, what she sees in Masachika. ๏ปฟ๏ปฟI'm also quite happy we get to see early on how Alya and Masachika met, it was equally sweet but pretty interesting how Alya's first impressions changed so much about Masachika in what seems like a short amount of time ๏ปฟ ๏ปฟI actually vibe with Masachika as the MC, he's shaping up to be a decent and respectable MC in my eyes. He's like, kinda layback were its funny but at the same time can get shit done, has decent morals and awareness, can be funny as shit, but can also take the initiative and has some rizz to him that i feel like can put most SOL MC's to shame. ๏ปฟ ๏ปฟOh, well i guess the explanation for why Masachika and Yuki live separately and act as "childhood friends" was what i expected, interested how deep that plot point will go. Equally so on Masha, girl kinda just came into the show listened to Alya yap about how she lowkey likes Masachika, then looked at Masachika once and was like "yeah, he's the one". |

this was an actual great episode
there was no unnecessary sexualization of the characters
as soon as i saw the tea i thought it was gonna spill on their clothes to make some sexual scene
but that didnt happen, and when the tea did spill it spilled on the floor at the end of the episode

| They included the native language with that backstory scene, that was awesome! You don’t often see that in anime. It made the backstory a lot more interesting! And that scene with the tea where Masha burns Mashachika wasn’t entirely her being a ditz. It’s actually quite understandable, considering what she was trying to do before hand, comforting him and all. In context of that, it’s definitely an easy mistake to make. |

| Based Masachika Also, Masha is definitely that girl from Masachika's childhood. I didn't realise it at first but after reading the comments here, it seems Saa-kun is Masachika. Also, it was sad seeing what happened to Masachika's family. No wonder he and Yuki have different last names and live separately. |
