Looks like it is time for the weekly Jujutsu Pain Train. This time the train stopped at Nobara's station. Nothing but sad things going on in this show. I remember shedding tears while reading this in the manga and the anime was no exception. Little Nobara was so damn adorable and it was very cute to see her little backstory. Very emotional indeed. I'll forever miss such a charming yet badass and chaotic gremlin-energy female character in this show. Rest in Peace, Kugisaki Nobara. T-T

Mahito is such a great villain. Itadori will have to stop this guy at any cost. Btw, Itadori's at his breaking point. This boy will keep on taking more and more suffering. The episode was beautiful. Amazing direction, action, and storyboards. It was amazing. I will miss you, Kugisaki.

Will not pretend and say, Nobara’s some hell of an interesting character you’d love to see many minutes of on screen… a very rare trait for said female characters in these kinda series, but she does have a few things to speak of as well. I mean you see, the same Mahito who Itadori couldn’t do much of on many occasions, was quite literally forced to retreat when battling against Nobara.

Her resonance did the trick, which not only did hurt the clone she was fighting against, but even the original’s soul Itadori was going up against. Mahito did what one could expect of him… he ran away in an attempt to lead both Itadori and Nobara to one place and then doing… the unthinkable.

This motherfucker placed his hand on Nobara’s face, and we know what it means. And if by some chance someone didn’t… that sudden backstory of Nobara is more than enough to indicate. “LIFE FLASHING BEFORE ONE’S EYES = WE KNOW WHAT IT MEANS”, sigh.

Not some over-sentimental flashback, but knowing what was about to come, it hurts:( Being Itadori ain't easy.

Gojo’s gone, Nanami’s gone and now Nobara, as well. Blame this arc.

Nobara's signature move, RESONANCE! God I just love the sequence of Itadori beating the fuck out of Mahito, get that fraud, and oh there’s still more to come between them I JUST HOPE THEY DON’T SCREW UP THE FINAL SHIBUYA PARTS. Mahito is constantly playing tricks on Itadori and Nobara. Going back, there’s a backstory when Nobara was still a little gamer girl playing Super Smash Bros + a total menace for bullying kids and befriending Fumi :), their friendship is sweet while it may not stay as close as it should be now. Tbh Nobara is one of the characters I wouldn’t say is a wasted potential but somewhat, I never feel like I gave her that much attention, compared to the other characters here but I do feel bad for her fans, though her death, thus far, hasn’t been really confirmed by Gege himself.

If she survive, she still has a lot to proof that this anime has the same character format as Naruto, which comprised of a group of students, 2 boys and 1 girl, and a group's teacher/supervisor. She choose a much harder path, she's not gonna be some main character's wife, she's gonna be a strong independent female character, and I wish her the best. But still, it'd be better if she has enough strength to backup her claim.

The pain just never ends man.

It was a back-and-forth battle for Itadori against Mahito, who employed a scheme involving ordinary people, causing Itadori to struggle. Meanwhile, Nobara returned to the battlefield and encountered Mahito's surrogate body. Faced with Mahito's plot to kill Nobara and break Itadori's spirit, Kugisaki engaged in combat while remaining wary of Mahito's techniques. Despite Mahito being immune to attacks, Nobara confronted him.

Nobara has become one of my favorites partly because her fighting style is incredibly unique, requiring her to put in extra effort, often setting up her attacks well in advance. It's disheartening that we won't get to witness it again. However, the chapter itself was well-executed, with a surprising display of brutality from Nobara's shot at the end. I appreciate that characters like Mahito aren't soul-warping them as with Junpei, but rather causing explosions, which somehow feels more respectful. I wouldn't want to see Nanami or Nobara go through that. The scene with Nobara and those empty chairs is a powerful callback to her speech to Itadori at the end of the Death Paintings arc. She spoke about having limited seats in her life, and now seeing those people who once filled those seats and realizing they're empty, it's undeniably impactful imagery.

Her eye is literally soaring through the air, man. We started with our squad of sorcerers. Now it's just Yuji and Megumi(?).

This arc is absolutely insane.

And now that it actually happened we can post without a spoiler tag that the opening foreshadowed it all along

This felt a lot more devastating than in the manga. You can't stress it enough how much the right seiyuu and OST sqeeze your heart.

Last week was Nanami's time and now its turn for RIP Nobara. We will miss you. I hope you come back some day, but if not, rest in peace. You were also a good counter to Mahito and helped Itadori beat the shit out of Mahito. Too bad Mahito likes to run away and do sneak attacks. I can't really believe the author killed#? one of the main trio, risky move and one of a hell way to subvert the shonen tropes. Awesome episode.

Imagine if every time someone died they removed them in the last shot of the OP. Would've been cool.
No way... Please no... We just lost Nanami last episode...
Oh, Saori! I remember Nobara talking about her in season 1. Finally we get more info about her.
The backstory and Saori's words hit me like a truck.
Nobara's death gotta be one of the most hard-hitting I've seen in anime... maaaaaaaaaaaan what the hell
Absolutely amazing episode

More Yuji fighting, and Nobara fighting. Great!

How could someone bully Fumi? Then you see what the adults did to Saori's family house. Kids learning from example.

Nobara life flashed before her eyes. Eye? Eyes?

One more JJK episode, one more death(...).

First thing that I want to point out is how well-animated this episode was. I was prepared for this episode to look terrible because of the people shouting doom and gloom, saying they should delay the rest of the season, and claiming that the staff hadn't even started working on the remaining episodes beyond episode 18. But the opposite was true, this looked better than last weeks episode. Also, the claim about them not having started production came from random shit I saw on Twitter, so in hindsight, it's probably safe to assume those had zero merit or credibility to begin with lol.

But damn, the fighting that took place in the episodes first half looked incredible, especially when Yuji was going all in on whooping Mahito's ass. Regardless of what the truth is about this episodes production, the staff is pulling some crazy magic out of their asses so props to them.

Last week was Nanami, now it's Nobara's turn on the chopping block. Hopefully that shot of her in the OP surrounded by chairs while she covers her left eye makes a lot more sense now. Spoilers in plain sight 💀 Gotta also have the emotional backstory before sending her off. Yuji is 15 years old experiencing insane levels of trauma in just a matter of a few hours. Poor kid lol.

RIP Nobara, for all we know. I only say "for all we know" because her status is currently listed as "unknown," and even to this day in the manga we still aren't 100% certain of her fate. Still, if you're a Nobara fan I wouldn't hold out hope lol, it's safe to assume she's more than likely gone for real.

Man what was that episode. Nobara covering her left eye in the opening finally makes sense but not in any pleasant way. She was genuinely one of my favourites characters of jjk and now we have to continue without her :/. Itadori about to go absolute pyscho mode on Mahito now, surely. Flashback of Nobara's countryside life was of course a big flag hinting to the episodes outcome but mane just mane. Itadori could not catch a break after Nanami's death, we'll see how he fairs in the next episode.

Yuji VS Mahito had some crazy choreography and fluid animation this episode. Even the background arts felt better than usual. A very polished episode. It is also another tragic episode where Mahito takes away a character off our screen with his cursed hand. I'll never forget how much of a psychopath this guy is. He isn't really, but feels like one to me. Yuji at this point is on the verge of fucking falling apart. I can't wait for THE episode.

people here are assuming the production might suddenly be good now nah remember tv anime has 3-5 rotating teams animating different episodes for at least 1 cour show so the team behind this might have been lucky with what episodes to animate plus half of this episode is not action pack anyway so they have much time to polish it

Females are bad written and not needed because they are NPCs in the Jujutsu Kaisen.

People got illusion over "Nobara or Maki" is good female characters, No. Good female characters does not exist in shounen, stop chasing a dream. This episode already shows it.
