The latest bit of news regarding this anime is that the final episode has been delayed once again due to "covid reasons", but what's apparent is that AtelierPontdarc and co are not up to the task at hand, nor do they seem to even care at this point. You know, you have brilliant passion projects like Bocchi the Rock, creative genius all around, a sublime anime that aired this ending season, and you can't help but compare it with mediocrity, dull and uninspired works like Ojisan, not much love was put into that series, it just makes you wonder why are they even bothering at this point?

It wouldn't be the first time an anime was cancelled prematurely. I know of the TV anime Dirty Pair that also was cancelled early, yet they came back afterwards and released a two episode OVA afterwards, tying up any loose ends left in the show. Maybe another competent studio could pick this back up and make things better? Just a thought.

tbh ive had no problems with the quality of the show, its a lot of fun to watch and it is a very unique parody, but the constant delays are frustrating

well for whatever it's worth I can confidently say I enjoyed Ojisan much more than I did Bocchi. I never once during the entire run of this show felt any sense that the folks working on it "don't care". In fact it seems to me that they are doing the best they can. The delay sucks but what can you do? Shit happens.

Ojisan is one of the best anime made all year so far.  I respect how much work they put into each episode.

it is a very good anime with a very unique quality, but it involves a lot of sensitive content from various brands, and we know that this can lead to several problems, I myself know several people who stopped watching due to the constant pauses.

It never felt like they didn't care. The production quality has been consistently very good.

i know you just plainly hate this anime but don't say stupid things like staff don't care and stuff they working there hard to put quality stuff even in difficult situation , if your cared enough to watch the show it has animation above your average genric isekai so they just delaying to put quality stuff

And mf this your 7 or 8 thread complaining about this show just stop if you don't like just don't watch give bad reputation to show by making this useless threads

Disagree completely, the show has been amazing so far (other then the delays), that's the reason I'm still here watching it and will wait however long it takes for the final episode to release.

I'm sick of the waifu bait, we really need Ojisan to finally get over his obliviousness, and mate with these characters. Including NTR scene with his nephew's friend.

Wtf bro it’s just Covid problems… the studio can’t do anything about that. It’s not dull or lifeless, this show may not be as technically genius or have as much effort put into it as something like Mob Psycho or Chainsaw man but it’s definitely not Hoshi No Samidare.

Dunno what is supposed to be a problem with this show itself. It is very good. But studio should have quit this drama.

idk what anime you're watching buddy, but Isekai Ojisan is easily one of the best anime I've ever seen so far. One of the easiest 9/10's I have given to a show

you must be living under a rock if you think "Covid reasons" are just false claims, since Japan is facing an 8th wave of covid right now and each day 100k to 200k cases are coming up.

Because, AtelierPontdarc claims to not outsource the episode. Most of the other shows outsource episode production and only work on major episodes and post production. In this case, The production is completely internal. This is, in a way, a good and a bad thing.
Good thing is, this tells us how passionate the staff is towards the work.
Bad thing is, They are in a pickle when they have less staff to work with. (This was the situation for the first hiatus that caused the whole drama and a 3 month delay)

But I think it is a valid point. Given so much of time, how is the production/post production still lagging behind. There was no news/leaks about the situation like the last time. It really is questionable why this is happening just when the series is about to end.

idk man i really like this anime and i feel like the team's doing a great job with the episodes, just not with constancy. these delays are really bad, i'll give you that. here in Brazil i basically only found this in Netflix, and for some reason they haven't updated anything since episode 7(!)
