The Jump Studio NEO stage for Akira Amano's Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri (Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective) manga announced an anime adaptation on Sunday. Kadokawa simultaneously opened an official website, revealing the main staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promo.

Staff
Director: Shouta Ibata (Domestic na Kanojo)
Series Composition: Wataru Watari (Isekai Yakkyoku)
Character Design: Masakazu Ishikawa (Seijo no Maryoku wa Bannou desu)
Music: You Tsuji (Dantalian no Shoka)
Music Production: Kadokawa
Studio: Diomedéa

Amano launched the detective mystery manga in Shounen Jump+ in October 2020, marking her first weekly serialization since she concluded Katekyo Hitman Reborn! (Reborn!) in November 2012. Shueisha published the eighth volume on November 4. The manga has a cumulative 500,000 copies of its volumes in circulation.

Shueisha's Manga Plus platform simulpublishes the manga in both English and Spanish.

Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri ranked among the top 20 manga in the Web Manga category in the 7th Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taisho in 2021—a joint award by Kadokawa's Da Vinci literature magazine and streaming platform Niconico.

Synopsis
Despite lacking the skills suited for his role on the Metropolitan Police Department investigative team, Totomaru Isshiki wants to solve murders and help people. Following the advice of one of his seniors, he ventures out to enlist the aid of the reclusive Ron Kamonohashi. Five years ago, Ron was the most promising detective from the illustrious Detective Training Academy Blue; yet for reasons unknown to the public, he sank into obscurity.

Totomaru expects a well-dressed, composed man; but what he gets is a messy-haired and uninhibited eccentric. After years in solitude, Ron barely resembles his former self and he refuses to even hear out the detective. However, as quickly as Ron rebuffs, he flips on a dime and dives headfirst into the current serial murder case.

The true reason Ron withdrew from the detective world was not from lack of desire, but rather from something out of his control—and Totomaru might just be the key for his return to his former calling. Together, the wide-eyed officer and deranged detective tackle each mystery that comes their way. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Sounds interesting, will definitely check it out.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

MAL is literally just anime Twitter as its own website lol.

The KV goes hard. The real question is how long it's going to take for the production to fall apart.

The actual show probably won't even look half as good as the trailer, I don't think it's gonna even have the same art style

Rewatching the trailer, the characters and the backgrounds look like they are on two different planes.
The artstyle will probably be the same, but the quality and the consistency will start melting from the 2nd half of the first episode. There could also be the situation where they use some of the trailer for the OP.

It really just doesn't look like it's made by Diomedea at all

This does look good.. visually. But so does pretty much every other thing in teasers/trailers, so not getting hopes up in that regard atleast. Though looking forward nonetheless.

Hope it's not just the visual that looks good but the story too. Haven't watched a good detective anime since long.

Between the fact it's a mystery anime and the great visuals, I can say this got my curiosity but seeing the studio who made it, I have a lot of worries.

Two seasons, 13 episodes each, I suppose, judging from the announcement. Second season will air later.
