| Well I understand episode 11 is more fitting as closure, but episode 12 works well too as end of season 1 to indirectly tell us that the anime hasn't finished yet and will continue later, that's what I think :) |

| With this episode, you can see the premise of "We're going to milk this concept of a show to the bone". No wonder why the story seems to drasticaly slow down from around episode 7. There are many signs. Those who say "It's not filler" because it's in an extra-chapter of the manga are just being dishonest. As if extra-chapters were relevant. It's a damn filler, not relevant to the main plot. There was not a single progression in the story during this episode, nothing changed, nothing advanced during this episode : it's just filler. Watching a show that doesn't progress, especially for a mid-season finale is a Red Flag to me. This show is going to be ruined by the end of the season. That's just the way it is |

It felt like most of the stuff after episode seven was pretty weak and the author really doesn't take much out of the premise and the show is just rune of the mill adaption of run of the mill manga. Funny how it felt like they moved too quickly on the beginning and then it just starts to drag. |
| Adapting anime in different cours and delivering a satisfactory ending is difficult as the season is split up into two parts. I think the actual season finale will be way more satisfying |

It felt like that because in the manga, it's actually Chapter 8.5 from Volume 2 and Chapter 15.2 from Volume 3. The previous episode ended off at Chapter 17. That's why it gave the impression that the continuity felt a bit off. Don't get me wrong. I thought it was a good episode. It's just that they experimented with the ordering a bit. Why Wit decided to animate out of order is beyond me, but I do agree with you that the previous episode's endpoint would have been a fitting mid-season finale point. This. Double checked and yea weird to adapt it this way. Episode 12 would've been better served as an OVA sometime between this season and 2nd cour to remind us about Spy x Family. In fact, the way the chapter was structured makes it perfectly fit an OVA with the whole narration reminding us of the plot of the show. Kind of a shame. |

| Yes they should have, then again they should have changed so much more. My prayers for the 2nd season are that it'll be an improvement, to what I witnessed in s1. |
